Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Sending a Eurorack from Mexico to USA

I’m wondering if anybody knows if it’s possible to ship an expensive piece of gear from Mexico to USA. I was living in Mexico and I was planning on going back but I decided not to. Unfortunately, I left my euro there and I wanna get it back to USA without having to go down there to pick it up. I have a friend who will ship it for me.I have no idea if it will take months because of customs or if it would be an easy process. Anybody have any experience with this? I have no idea if it will take months because of customs or if it would be an easy process. Anybody have any experience with this?

I haven't had any experience sending from Mexico to USA, but have had good luck sending parts of a eurorack to Canada and back. Although sometimes the FedEx store would get very confused on how to categorize power supplies and/or modules when registering the parcel for customs. They usually just got entered in as "computer parts".

Sending an assembled system across any border would make me nervous, but that might just be me. Is it a large system?

I think you should call DHL or FedEx or whatever and ask them. They'll give you the best info. Make sure it's clear that this is marked personal belongings. Otherwise you might be taxed on it. You should probably call U.S. Customs and Border Protection in advance too to clarify about how to make sure you minimise or avoid taxes. They'll also tell you the likely hold up time at customs.

  • Yeah. I may just fly down to pick it up. I forgot that I left my Teenage Engineering speaker there as well. Also all my Eurorack patch cords. I must have 200 of them. Looks like a flight down there is inevitable!
