Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

iOS Alarm Clock with gradually increasing volume?
After seven years my Sony Android phone gave up its ghost, and I am now an iPhone user. One feature I do miss is a gradually increasing alarm and ring volume.
I had a look, and it seems that amidst laser face scan, satellite emergency calls and more gimmicks Apple seems to have forgotten essential features. So what apps are there that my trusted AB forum community could recommend?
It has to be simple and without any sleep pattern tracking, snore detector or other features that potentially collect data.

I've used the ipad version for years. A very calm way to start the day.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this app but it’s not reliable. Didn’t ring this morning although the alarm was set. The last update was 7 years ago, it can probably not handle modern iOS and devices. The other thing I miss is a permanent indicator (widget / notification) that clearly indicates the set alarm and alarm time.
This is one of those few missing ridiculously minor things that prevents me switching from android phones to iOS
Why not use a dedicated ringtone that does it?
If you use the sleep schedule in the health app as your alarm it uses alarms that start gentle and get louder.
Thanks for suggesting this. I will try this one out, although it is a bit stupid that the alarm widget does not display the set wakeup time that I enabled in the clock/alarm setting, but only the customized alarms. Otherwise I was already thinking about using a dedicated ringtone as @rs2000 suggested.
Was gonna suggest this - make your own ringtone that rises in volume over time. As an android user, tho, my mind boggles that this is not part of the basic iOS Clock app's functionality
It does display in the clock’s alarm page.
It does display in the clock’s alarm page. It behaves the same as any of the other alarms in my experience. At least I’ve never noticed any drawbacks.
That is the problem. I cannot understand why this Sleep / Wake Up alarm does show up on the Alarm page, but not on the widget. From Android I am used to always see the upcoming alarm on the lock screen.
It does for me:
My alarm is set in sleep schedule as you can see from my previous screenshot.
Interesting. It is visible on my phone now as well. Maybe that widget only refreshes very slowly. Strange...
Yeah, it's not one that needs to be updated every second lol.
The biggest crime here is that the built-in Apple alarm has a FIXED snooze timer! How dare they declare that 9 minutes is the only viable snooze interval?! Unacceptable!
For a gradually increasing alarm, you might want to check out the app “Alarmy.”
I quite like the ones in the sleep schedule — I’m used to it now.
all my old clock radio alarms had 9 minute snooze timers. I would panic if it was any other value lol.
I also like that it took a top of the range v15 phone to get the same display I used to have on my alarm clocks 30 years ago… I like the big snooze/stop button on the display too. Can’t remember what they call that mode where you turn the phone 90° on MagSafe stand but I like it. a lot. :-)
Just set a daily alarm in your Calendar app. It works great.
So this is all YOUR fault!
I’m kidding, of course, and this is definitely a superficial “problem.” Also, I’m not at all debating your preferences but for me, 9 minutes is an emergency backstop against falling back to sleep as opposed to any kind of “snooze” option. I need a few minutes to fall back asleep and at least 15 more for any semblance of added restful benefit.
I had an alarm app I really liked (was called Nightstand Central but it’s gone from the App Store now and replaced with another of the same name—tricksy!). Sadly, it was a free app but the dev had to pay for some things out of pocket and could no longer maintain it. I learned a few important lessons from that:
1) Some things are worth paying for if you want them to stick around.
2) If you don’t support the things you value, you have to be okay with someone else making basic decisions for you on vital factors like the length of snoozes.
