Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

  • Joining the “family” of a company and product which has zero apparent history in this area is not, at first sight, much of a value proposition.

I might have agreed with you but the free “Lite” app doesn’t seem particularly limited for testing purposes.

Their website also has some demos

  • I’ve been using the TestFlight version for a few days and I like it a lot. It sounds great and the UI is far more legible and intuitive than Tonex, especially as a plugin inside Logic Pro iPad. I’m going to try the monthly sub and see what happens. If they keep enhancing the app and adding new amp models, I’ll buy the lifetime version.

I have a question about ToneHunt. Is there a way to tell whether a capture includes a speaker? If so, no cab IR should be used inside GigFast, right?

  • Hi there,

This is Emrah from Artera DSP. I am a guitarist who has been performing professionally for about 20 years, and I am also the co-founder of Artera DSP.

Regarding GigFast Lite, we offer a 7-day free trial for our subscription plans, allowing users to see if the app meets their expectations. This is similar to the trial processes offered by other apps on the App Store.

We have been testing GigFast Lite with a wide range of users from the NAM Facebook group, The Gear Page, and the Audiobus forum, and have received mostly encouraging feedback. I can promise that we will continue to add new amps, effects, and functionality improvements through future updates. We are also always available to support your requests.

I understand that as a new company, our strong claims might not seem appealing or humble, but we have been working on this project for quite some time. We believe it can be a valuable tool for many guitarists using mobile solutions.

    Thank you.

Thanks a lot, this is our public claim and promise to all our users that we will add more value to the product with the feedbacks we have received from you.

Regarding ToneHunt we might have come up with a solution for full rig captures to turn of our IR loaders section but we have to check first. I will update my answer after that check. This is a great idea btw.

    Thanks.

  • Nowhere is it explained what the acronym NAM means. I’ll assume it has nothing to do with Vietnam…

You right sorry. Please check https://www.neuralampmodeler.com. GigFast Lite can import amp profiles created with NAM and also has our 4 amp models created with different approach to be more responsive to knob adjustments.

  • Ah, OK.

    Neural Amp Modeler (NAM)

Maybe include that in the body copy of the product description. It is good form to include the full name the first time, as shown above, then refer to it as the acronym in the rest of the product description.

  • I just bought the lifetime IAP. Impulsive, I know, but I’ve been impressed by the product and I wanted to support the developers.

Thanks a lot for the support, we will try to deliver our best.

  • AnalogXAI's latest series 3 hardware captures are also NAM (Previously they used .json files, which Chow DSP's BYOD could load via its GuitarML module. However there are known issues with sub frequencies being rolled off using BYOD)

  • @ArteraDSP or @benlefoe, is it possible to activate the trial period without it defaulting to the subscription when the trial ends, unless I cancel? Were I to find it useful, I would be more likely to just get the lifetime unlock, and I’m wary of getting caught in some weird “I cancelled the trial and now I can’t even login to get an unlock” loop.

No idea, I don’t work for them!

  • nodnod. Understood. Will wait for them to pop back in.

We acknowledge that the current process isn't ideal. Unfortunately, due to App Store payment limitations, we can't offer a free trial with a lifetime purchase option. Even if we did offer an upgrade from a subscription to a lifetime purchase within the app, you would still need to manually cancel your subscription. For now, to switch to a lifetime purchase, you’ll need to cancel your subscription, delete the app, and then download it again. We promise to simplify this process in the future! 😊

  • @ArteraDSP Ok. Thanks for the info. Will ponder.

  • This is an incredible iOS modeler. If this is the lite version and it’s this good on release, I can’t imagine how good this will get and evolve into; with the S100 it’s an incredible amp. Ofc all the amps are good, but IDK what theyre modeled after.

This amp sounds amazing. it sounds like im playing a recto!

I went to tonehunt, downloaded a few mesa amp and cab IR and boom, like i had a rectifier

As I understand effects are on the way so reverb is the most important anyway with a. Mesa rig

Im very very impressed - and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the full unlock if this is just the beginning @Schmotown as you said devs like this deserve support

Im going to look at more cabs, irs, see as things develop, but so far i do like this simple interface compared to tonex

Great rollout guys @ArteraDSP and this is just a preliminary impression! I can’t wait to give it more time and try more amps..thanks

Thanks for the great positive review here you can find more information about built in amps.

  • Opened the trial demo and I have to admit it’s pretty impressive.

  • A number of the presets have the overdrive engaged. You can deactivate it, but I suggest pulling down the hamburger menu to the left of the preset name and selecting bank B, then preset B1. From there, start messing with the amp and cab combinations, adjusting the gain and other parameters to discover what’s possible using just the built-in amp profiles and cab IRs. I’m finding that they cover a LOT of ground.

  • Almost thought it was Arturia 🙃

Yes we keep encouraging all our users to spend some more time with our included models. We believe parametric captures will open new possibilities to capturing business.

@Poppadocrock And to reiterate here something @ArteraDSP said in another thread: if you don’t want the subscription after the trial period, but want to get the permanent unlock, you’ll need to cancel the subscription, delete the app, then start again.

  • This definitely is sounding amazing, NAM might be the best guitar amp sim on iOS ….gigfast is impressive, def permanent unlock worthy
