Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Welcome back
A bit of a departure for you, this one is less melancholy, with a more electronic sound, but still has your trademark cinematic quality.
And as always the track takes you on quite a journey. The changes are incredible, it's more like a movie than a piece of music. Every second of those nine minutes is a joy to experience.
The video is terrific as well. I'm not generally a fan of AI art, but here it is used very effectively and tastefully. The images are beautiful.
Joseph, what a surprise! You are back! 🤩 There's a lot of interesting sections, for starters, I would never call this a draft. Is this pale light a sign of awakening? Because it should be an explosion, haha! Fantastic new piece, it promises a lot. Knowing you, this is just the beginning of a new journey, and I can’t wait to join.
I think Joseph once said that he was altering his photography with AI. Did he make music in the same way? Only he can tell.
@Luxthor @richardyot thank you guys. After 3 months of struggling I could at least make this thing. The choice of going full synth proved to be troublesome. I don’t have to knowledge/experience with those things to make the sounds in my head sound the same in reality. It is barely an approximation and I’m not super happy with it.
The AI I think is in the drummer thing and Logic mastering. I don’t know how to write for drums, and my mastering skills are at best very mediocre.
I re-subscribed to Logic Pro for iPad tonight just to look into the Drummer’s and the Session Players features they added recently. I love the Mastering feature and used it many times before I let the subscription lapse.
You’re work here helps validate that these features can help open doors to new workflows and positive results. Thanks for leading the way.
Sounds like the soundtrack to a classic 80s supernatural thriller. Lovely work! Great title too. Definite Tangerine Dream vibes in the er, second movement.
That was excellent! It really held my attention and I enjoyed how it developed. Love the sound of the drums and the playing/programming(?) of them. The consistency of the pale blue colour in the A.I. images was very pleasing too - did you need to apply a filter post -production?
Sometimes when I see a piece is over 9 minutes long I have second thoughts about pushing 'play'. No regrets - was over too quick and played again. Even though there are stops/starts the different parts flow and I get the feeling there's something fugal going on - inverted melody, crab-canon or something - the whole piece seems palindromic. Anyway, amazing "draft" @jo92346, can't wait to hear the final version. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you all guys for listening.
@McD for the mastering thingy alone the subscription is worth it for me. The drummer is practical and easy enough.
@Svetlovska that was totally in my mind when doing it.
@AlterEgo_UK actually all the 8mages are as they came out of MJ. Just resampled and added noise in Photomator on iPad.
@pbelgium you re onto something here ;-)
As a prog rock aficionado 9 minutes is nothing! Well, it can be a long time unless there’s plenty going on. What a fabulous journey you take us on. This is wonderful music in its own right - the video is a (pretty stunning) bonus. You use some unusual scales to great effect. Terrific liten!
Thank you @BillS
I’d like to hear the piano a touch louder starting at 3:25. Good experimenting with synth sounds. Maybe punch up the synths at 5:50. I like where the piano breaks out around 6:40. Interesting ending.
The drums never return. I look forward to your final version.
👍🏻 - how did you get that consistent color?
Thank you @LinearLineman will consider that after I let my ears forget it when working on the final version.
@MrStochastic it is easy, I just discarded the renders with the colors I didn’t like.
Good to see you back around the forum and glad to hear more of you music. I would proudly call this finished but as others have said, I look forward to hearing your final finished work.
Diiiiig this man! Nice and cinematic and when the beat kicks in i was feeling it
Thank you @MadeofWax @reasOne, really appreciate you listening.
