Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Prometheus
A little ambient piano piece featuring the Ravenscroft Prometheus preset. This is probably not the final mix, but it’s good enough for government work. Happy Memorial Day to all that celebrate it. Have a beautiful long weekend. I’m getting started now with a couple cold pops.

It’s been a good weekend for piano pieces here on the forum.
Funny, “good enough for government work” was one of those things my dad always said. He actually worked for the post office so I guess he knew the criteria.

My dad was a civil engineer. He did roads, bridges, railroads and things like that. I remember many nights he would have blueprints laid out on the dining room table, working until way past midnight. He was one of the best in the country. He had job offers from everywhere, but he chose to stay in Downers Grove, in the house that he designed and built with my grandfather. I was next to him when he passed. I miss him.

I really like Ravenscroft. Pure Piano is great too, bit you’re limited to 4 instances. I find that Pure Piano chokes when you have more than 2. I usually use the Classic or Concert presets in Ravenscroft, but Prometheus has a bit of reverb and I thought it sounded nice. I couldn’t think of a title, so I just named it after the preset. Having read about Prometheus, it’s probably not the best title considering the character. Have a great day!

That’s very good, Paul. I never saw a Prometheus preset. Maybe something new? I always use the Classic preset without the pedal. Early in Ravenscroft history you couldn’t remove it!
I still love Ravenscroft, but have to admit Pianoteq is getting my attention more these days. In deconstructing older orchestrated tracks to solo piano pieces I find Pianoteq does a great job.

Prometheus is preset 5 on my version. I also mostly use Classic, but felt like trying something new. I didn’t have to add any reverb after the fact. I’m glad you liked it.
I had to look up salubrious. I have never used it in a sentence before! I’ll have to do something about that.

I updated the mix. Actually took a few parts out that seemed unnecessary after a few listens. Less is more... sometimes.
@MrStochastic @jwmmakerofmusic Two more new words added to my vocabulary! Lugubrious sounds like a word to describe a thick, meat sauce. I haven't said antonym since grade school! I will be looking for an opportunity to use both. Have a nice day, gents!
