Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Be Inspired To Create Great Music Instantly | What's New in Cubasis 3.6.5

  • Great work @LFS thanks for the great work Cubasis Team 👊🏽🎚️

  • Nice one - thank you Cubasis people!

  • Fabulous work and support of mobile music making as always.

  • Sweet good stuff. The app appeared to have crashed on initial open after the update but for some reason background itself. All good now.

  • Uhh nice. Audio glue is veeery much appreciated ❤️. THANKS

3 ios daw updates in the same week. Pretty wild 😄

  • Yes Cubasis and Steinberg are still in the game. Good timing Lars, I still think Cubasis is the gold standard for iOS. Keep it up man

  • Excellent. Thank you.

  • @LFS Please check this again...

CBT-3687 Editing split events in the audio editor now works as expected.

While the correct 'area' is shown in the Audio Editor and the R locator is in the right place the L locator is not causing all 'processing' to be done from the beginning of the file to R marker.

    Here's an audio-event shown on the time-line.

Opening it up in the Audio Editor shows the correct position but notice the L handle is missing.

(This causes all processing, reverse, normalize etc to be done from L to R).

The L is still at the beginning of the file.

Also the Preview/Play arrow should play between L & R to preview the area that is being edited.

Other than that a solid update!

    Cheers!

  • This is super impressive for a minor update. Added exactly the features I need.

  • The search for audio unit will save me tons of time. Thank you!!! This update is huge. Would still be amazing if there were preferences for adding a midi track so it doesn’t default to micro sonic but I am happy for all these updates!

  • Audio glue!
    Thank you

    Hi @Samu

Thanks for your report, wich has been shared with the team!

    Best,

    Hi @bpert

    Thanks for your message!

You may create your own project template (e.g. with a MIDI track assigned HALion Sonic Selection).

If that MIDI track is selected, adding a new MIDI track automatically keeps the assigned instrument.
    Same behaviour in regular projects...

    Hope that helps!

    Best,
    Lars

  • Excellent review and thanks for sharing your personal thoughts, as well!
    Thanks @Jamie_Mallender!

  • nice update with lots of quality of life fixes, thanks Cubasis team.

Now that's all done how about the #1 feature request that Jamie mentioned at the end?

It does not require a rewrite, just a little creative thinking. I solved this with Mozaic and AUM a couple of years ago:
    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/50993/solved-cubasis-tempo-track-with-aum-and-mozaic#latest

It really shouldn't be hard to productionize something within Cubasis to do the same.

  • Doug's vid on the update:

  • That copy/paste feature was exactly what I was looking for in Cubasis! With quicker copy/paste I can easily structure out tracks in minutes.

  • I’m updating my 5-star review!

Have you tested Stem Splitter in the new Logic Pro yet?
As I wrote on another thread, it should work on Mini 6!

  • Love the new copy/paste! Thanks cb team!

  • Great update, thanks!
Before tempo track which many users seem to wait for, I'll be more happy with ghost copy! 🤞🏻

  • @LFS Maybe I just missed it on the list, but was the bug in the mixdown setting "exclude all effects (dry)" bug fixed?
Also, "CBT-197 The mixer no longer closes when opening an effect." is a nice workflow improvement.
Thanks to the team for a great update!

    Hi @JMC

Do you still encounter the mixdown issue?

    Thanks
    Lars
