Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Logic Pro for iPad 2: Everything we know so far

Like with the previous LPfi 1.1 update I imagine there will be dozens of other smaller additions & fixes in the patch notes when it releases, but I think I covered all the major stuff Apple announced.

Comments

  • We should not forget that this isn’t the last update to Logic Pro for iPad!

The new stuff is really great, but, there’s some more work to be done in the UI compartment, like Sculpture Alchemy and ES2 as an example…

Really excited to test the new v2 in just six days!

    Thanks for this video!

  • Remember the first major logic iPad update around 5-6 months ago? I predict the next update like that will adress the UI issues.

  • I hope they have managed to fix the opening and closing instabilities with projects that have issues with AUv3s so I can have fewer freak outs when my projects won’t open.

  • It’s out!!

The size of them new packs, jisses! The bass alone almost 6Gb… Well I’ve finally got ‘em down so .. now some testing 😃

Session Players are CPU hogs. Just doing the tutorial lesson and the CPU meter has hit red a couple times and I haven't even added drums yet. (I'm on a M2 Pro)

Edit: seems to have settled down now. Maybe there were still some background downloads going on or something.

  • Route MIDI internally using Internal MIDI In
You can route and record the MIDI output of a MIDI effect plug-in or software instrument plug-in on a software instrument track to a software instrument track in your project using the Internal MIDI In track parameter. This is similar to using aux sends to route audio internally from a track to a receiving track, in addition to sending it to the main output. You can also tap the MIDI signal from different points along the MIDI signal path of a software instrument track (similar to tapping the signal from different points in the signal flow in an aux send). See Route MIDI internally to software instrument tracks.

    This is pretty great news!

    Neat!

  • Here are two samples I captured from Logic:

And built out into this little groove called, "The Furthest Away"
