Can one iPad control another iPad via Bluetooth ?

Hi guys, as the title suggests.
I have a single iPad Air which I would like to use as an XY controller.
I am looking to control the iPad Pro via an XY controller app, for instance using the app koala.

So is it possible to control one iPad using another? Either over Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth?

Is this possible please?

    Midi is easy to send via Bluetooth g by e tween devices if that is what you mean.

    Yes.

    Blue tooth is mores stable than Wifi.

    Whether or not you use AUM, do you at least own it? That would be required so that your devices can find each other.
    (Unless there is another hack I’m unaware of).

    But depending on your needs, Wi-Fi may be suitable for you.

    Yes. It seems OP ended up having AUM, which can be used to create bluetooth midi connection.

    But for anyone who wants a free small utility to create bluetooth midi connection there is the 'midimittr' app, as well as several other free ones, I think.

    Once a bluetooth midi connection is created in one app, e.g., in AUM or midimittr, the connection is usable in any other app.

    @Blipsford_Baubie : Drambo doesn’t have Bluetooth advertising (which publishes outgoing connections) but it does allow you to connect to advertised Bluetooth.

    For apps that don’t have the advertise feature midimittr (free) can be used as hes mentioned.

    This midimittr is great @hes and @espiegel123 , thank you for pointing me to it.
    I can get my old iPad and phone up and running much more quickly now, whereas to before it felt like a chore.
    If only the monitor button inside Koala was midi-mappable, I’d be able to immediately start making noise without any scrolling through my Drambo Layers rack in order to open Koala. Still a huge improvement to my days of yore, pre Drambo.

    What about you @SkillipEvolver ? Any luck?

    Well.. little bit rubbish tbh!
    The M-Wave Chocolate I wanted on eBay got sold (bugger). And the person I was getting expression pedal from had been busy so
    .. no progress yet!! 😕

    Although, I might well grab M-Wave for £30 on Amazon....

    So speaking of which...

    Expression pedals...
    I know that it's not always smart to go cheap cheap bottom end....
    but, a pedal... Not a whole lot to it right? Not exactly NASA-grade tech ....

    M-Audio do one, has anyone ever tried one of these? :

    Hi @SkillipEvolver . I have the M-Audio Expression Pedal EX-P, and it works fine for me. You can use the pot adjustment so the minimum is above zero, just very soft. It is all (fairly heavy) plastic, so might not be suitable for a rough environment, but it's fine for home use.

    I have one as well, no complaints so far. But I've always been wary of products with non-detachable cords, and found this mod for installing a jack on the M-Audio: blackaddr.com/expression-pedal-repair-and-mod/

    Two other mods shown are also shown. One deals with "a common failure point in expression pedals is the collar that attaches to the shaft of the pot. They’re usually made of plastic and can easily crack or slide off. Even if the collar hasn’t failed yet, we can easily reinforce it so that it will be far more reliable." And the other is to add a TS jack to allow one to daisy chain a stomp switch.

    Do you own a volume pedal by any chance? I have a really solid Boss volume pedal that I can use as an expression pedal by connecting the two TS ends of a splitter cable to the IN and OUT, and the TRS end can then be plugged in as an expression pedal.
