Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Berlin techno becomes German cultural heritage

Berlin techno becomes German cultural heritage.

Berlin has been known worldwide for years for its electronic music and the large number of nightclubs, for which tourists come to the German capital especially. Matthias Roeingh, co-founder of the Love Parade and known by his DJ name Dr. Motte, made the case for putting techno on the list.

Roeingh tells weekly Der Spiegel he is pleased with the announcement. He hopes that everyone will now see the cultural value of techno and that clubs might even benefit from the new status. For example, the municipality could make it easier to open and maintain clubs.

Germany's cultural heritage list now includes 150 entities. Minister Claudia Roth (Culture) says techno culture stands for values such as diversity, respect and cosmopolitanism. According to her, the inclusion of techno on the list illustrates "a broader understanding of culture.
