Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

New song “Guilt”

Comments

  • It is my usual blend of fake drums and too much vocoder.

  • It's a cool idea and performance sounds fairly good in my stereo on moderat volume (no headphones).

  • Oh this is nice 👍
I really enjoyed the nice chords followed by your vocoder, they go hand in hand!
    Great track!

  • Great song I am loving those synth pad chords at the 2:00 mark.

  • That was a cool experience… lot’s of good choices along the whole ride.

  • Love it, nasty in all the right ways.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment.

I’m glad you like it :-)

  • I would call this genre a cyberwave. This track will fit perfectly in any cyberpunk scenery, I’m not going to bombard you with imagery, you know what I mean. ;)

I’m hungry for more of this, it’s so inspiring for my mind. Great work! 🤩

“Cyberwave”? On cool. I just call everything I do “electronic” on SoundCloud.

    Thanks for listening :-)

  • This one is a banger with layers of fragile beauty. Going to listen a couple more times

I’ve never had a track described as a banger before! Thanks :)

  • Nice. For some reason, it made me think of the Saw movies. It would make a great soundtrack for that type of film. Love the addition of the strings too - they really fit well.

Cool thanks. Nice to think of it as being creepy  Charlie Clouser's saw movies scores are great. I'll definitely take that one as a compliment :)

It reminds me of the Tron Legacy (maybe remixed one?) soundtrack, which I loved.

Awesome atmosphere and the vocoder is really cool and done well

Cool thanks. :) I really like the Tron Legacy soundtrack too.

  • Absolutely amazing - best track I’ve heard all day

  • This is so knarly and cool, something I'm sure our artificial overlords in waiting will love.

The chord sequence at 2:00 is the same as The Force Awakens trailer, and really fits nicely here too.

Coool. Thanks. I will have to check out the force awakens trailer music, maybe sue John Williams for stealing my music (and worse still, stealing my music before I’d even written it. Cheeky sod.).

  • This is brilliant!. Vocoder (ab)use is totally justified given the results.

  • Agreed, this is a quality piece… and nowt wrong with your use of vocoder, it’s super effective. Speaking of which, what vocoder did you use?

Thank you! I reserve the right to overuse vocoders in perpetuity. :-)

    Thank you.

The vocoder is mostly Logic’s stock EVOC20 vocoder but is layered with Arturia’s Vocoder from the V collection. I think there are three different kinds layers of vocoder in the main chorus part.

I also used Sonic Charge’s BitSpeak on the Mac for the speak n spell style fx. Which also got layered with vocoder in places. Too much vocoder :-)

Drums, for anybody interested, are all from the Arturia DrumBrute Impact drum machine.

One day I will vocode the drumbrute. I love vocoded drums too :-)
