Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

I think is one of the best sounding chorus effects we have on iOS, the fact that it’s free is remarkable.
In this video I also explain how to get that classic sound from the David Bowie track, Ashes To Ashes, you’ll know what I mean when you hear it.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video.

One of my favorite Bowie tracks and my favorite Bowie album! Excellent video Doug thanks 🙏

Hey people, thank you for the kind words and feedback. Also for the testing of things, gonna address those issues in the 1.0.1 version. I kinda actually expected nobody to notice it being released haha. Also will add a tip jar.

Yeah I plan on getting it out on Mac desktop as well as a AUv3 and also yeah apply all the learnings from this one to the next plugin.

You make a free AUV3, you better bet we’re gonna notice 😂 but I would’ve happily paid for this, it’s really great.

  • I love Choric from Caelum Audio and FAC Chorus from Fred Anton Corvest, but this one is uniquely simple and great for instant response with very little effort. Might be nice if a future version would allow both the slider positions and the position of the 'control button'(?) in the oscilloscope view to be MIDI controlled or automated somehow. :)

  • There’s something about this effect that calls me. Let’s see what magic can be made

Those are my top 2 as well but this may indeed be #3 eventually. Not sure if it’ll beat Eventide for that spot yet though.

  • @thesoundtestroom Thank you so much for the review, means a lot! You were one of the reasons I got into iOS music production and decided to pursue a career in music tech

Fixes incoming in 1.0.1 when apple approve.

    • Fixed issue with automation not changing parameters in various hosts
    • Fixed issue with manufacture name not properly set.
    • Fixed issues with parameter decimal places/unit names
    • Tidied up the plugin layout
    • Added tip jar

Thanks people for helping me debug! Next time I'd better run a beta testflight. If anyone wants send me a dm with your email and I can add you as beta testers for the next when I'm working on it. Cheers.

That’s fantastic! Automation fix immediately makes this invaluable for me. Can’t believe it’s free. That tip jar’s going to get some heavy usage 👍👍

I’ve tested the Tip Jar, there is no problem with implementation, everything works perfectly. ;)

  • Oh this is nice, great stuff!
