Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Strange audio performance ,only one core used
Hi,
I am on ipad3 ios7 and last night after overloading AB2 with effects , I experienced crackles and glitches ,even slowed down tempo...
I found that normal, but I was curious seeing the CPU load. I downloaded a CPU meter app (BMSSM) and to my surprise I saw the CPU not maxing above 50%. Only way to max out to 100% was scrolling thru apps???same thing overloading Audioshare with IAA apps...
Any info?

I noticed this too when I was making the last update for beat-machine. Only one core is used unless something on the screen is showing an animation. This is usually fine because a lot of apps animate their GUI while playing, but when you switch to another app with little or no animations it drops down to one core and cpu usage appears to double. It makes beat-machine look bad because on a new device with all FX on and the lowest latency it still only maxes out at 20% cpu, but when you switch to another app it may drop to one core and hit 40%. 1 step forward, 5 steps back.
Also it makes wonder why ALL apps fall in the same core and the other is resting...I loaded Triqtraq, FX: Turnado and Magellan (as fx for reverb) and Samplr (as output). Sure my ipad3 was struggling to keep up the audio, but 50% ????
@Dreamless: That explains why I had audio drop-outs when switching from Jam-Synth inside Audiobus to other app...
iOS doesn't seems so wonderful right now...
