Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Vote For My Feature ~ Triggered Switch (New Widget Type)

edited January 25 in Loopy Pro

Hi Everyone,
SITUATION ROOM:
I was trying to create a switch that would send a MIDI note on to Mozaic; where I have script that takes a single note and turns it into a ambient pad, and oscillates the velocity.
I wanted each item/position in the switch to be or send a different note; and I would have 8 of the most common "keys" (musically speaking) that I play in, or 8 positions on the switch each sending a unique note.

SITUATION ROOM:
I wanted to create a switch that would allow me to select which of my fav presets for a plug in that I use. I have about 6 presets set up in the plugin, and I want to select which one via the switch widget - but really it's tied to my MIDI Footswitch controller.

PROBLEM: To get to the item (position), and really let's be honest - to initiate the specific ACTION I want to happen, I have to select or "pass-thru" other positions on the switch, triggering an action that I do not want.
I want to select the item (or position) or action; and THEN have it triggered

WRONG SOLUTION: Buttons; No, no, no, no, no. Did I say no. WHY on earth create a button and take up wasted real estate for each action you want. Get with the 21st century folks.

Btw, there is an existing feature request for an option to select on release for stepped dials. You might want to up-vote it.

In the meantime, you can set up a radio button group instead or, as I often do, setup radio buttons to select specific steps of a dial.

  • @espiegel123 - I have NEVER tried the radio button group. You're gonna make a music creator out o' me yet. THANK YOU!!!
