Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Mackie MobileMix, Mainstream, etc.

So far I've made videos of my music making using an iPhone on an stand to record video, and recording audio into Ableton Live via audio interface, then using iMovie to line up the audio and video before posting to Youtube. I admit though I also just record the room audio into iPhone while recording video.

I think one of these new Mackies might be in my near future.

MobileMix in particular can connect to 2 devices - like both my iPhone and my iPad, or your camera and iPad, etc. - and send/receive audio to/from both.

  • It's out now and I've been searching for an audio interface for my home studio that can work with both daw and ios in a similar way. Any one in the forum used this mixer or the yamaha ag06?

  • From what I got, when recording to pc you can only choose from a stereo mix or dry 1-2 channels or the third option so it’s not worth it for me. :'( I do like it has the iPad/phone little dock indent :p

  • Did anyone end up getting one of these?

  • I got a mobilemix. It’s just a mixer. No USB. It does have Bluetooth and several other options to send out audio to a camera of phone. It’s works great. The battery option is awesome as well.
