Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

With iPhone 6 problems...

http://9to5mac.com/2014/09/24/apple-releases-ios-8-0-1-with-various-improvements-and-bug-fixes/
Edit.No still avaliable for my idevices here in Spain.

Edit 2. THE UPDATED HAS BEEN PULLED ( read this same link )

Comments

  • Yea Pulled, and Apple advices people with messed up iPhones to restore from iTunes to get it back to a working state again,

  • That could be tough since it jacks up the fingerprint scan too.

  • I suppose some of you have heard about the iPhone 6's bending - yes, bending out of shape if you carry them around in your pocket (and sit on them) or some such! Even heard about some guy demonstrating that he can bend one with his bare hands! Maybe Apple needs to recall the whole kit & kaboodle...

    It's this video http://discchord.com/blog/2014/9/24/bendghazi-iphone-6-plus-bends-crushes-your-dreams.html

Edit: I just looked at the follow up video, and apple needs to take a cue from Samsung on how to build a device that doesn't shatter on the smallest drop tests (like iPad Air), or bends in your pocket (like iphone 6+). That Galaxy is just way more rigid..

  • Things that are big and thin are more likely to give in to bending unless the materials are upgraded. Most of cheap metals that are tougher than aluminium will be heavier. Tough call. Samsung went with a good grade plastic and I don't think it was such a bad idea.

  • Baby's got the bends?

  • Part of the issue is people making demands for constant upgrades. Then being mad if they don't happen, then being mad when they do happen. My 4s is amazing, I am not in a rush to change it. I'll probably skip this iPad upgrade cycle too, my air is very capable, even if there's more ram in the next one.

I have to disagree here @mrufino1 i don't thinking people want upgrades. It is the corporate world that drives the upgrade rush so they can sell, sell, sell. Another 1st world problem. And I'm afraid that the ios8 update frenzy we've been seeing in the last few days is the bastard child of this materialistic philosophy.

  • I am disappointed with iOS8, but not with Apple's inability to change physics. Thin pliable metal bends. That's not a new thing.

  • I am thin and pliable and I bend every time my wife speaks. Over.

You put "over" in the wrong place in your comment. ;-)

  • Yes I know. She might read this.... OOPS!!!

Sellers need buyers, so it's a chicken or the egg question I guess. But I do agree. Marketing's goal is to make you believe you "NEED" something. Then you'll go to any length to get it. And, you'll accept all it's faults. Apple has been a master of that lately. And I don't mean decisions about ram, I mean releasing half baked products on a time schedule, instead of just waiting until it's right then releasing.

I love using my iPhone and I love using my iPad, they serve my needs really well. I love using my Mac too on the occasion I use it. I'll never go back to my Linux or windows days again in the foreseeable future, because apple's products have made me more productive than other products of the same type. But, I have a 4s, and air, and a 2007 black macbook which all work well for my needs. We got a Mac mini for the family computer recently and it runs fine, but it does what it needs and hopefully lasts 5-7 years, I won't be running to get something else just because it comes out. To hear of people standing on line for hours, days, or even minutes to get an iPhone 6 just makes no sense to me. I don't have any credit cards, maybe that makes a difference in slowing down my acquisition rate?

In any event, I don't want to be on a soapbox here, it's all good. And anyone is if course free to disagree, I'm not trying to start an argument. As I said in another post , we most certainly agree these are first world problems. Maybe even "half world problems?"

  • Dear Apple, please don't forget to remove the "tips" app in the update. At least remove it from running as a service in the background (along with all the other crap a person don't wanna use)? Kthx

  • Be honest, who here DOESNT want a new iPad with more RAM and a faster processor??

    There are TWO of them?

  • One could also say that, on the flip side;
Some folks who are unable to upgrade, whether for financial reasons or otherwise, will welcome any opportunity to find flaws in the latest and greatest product, and may even take to online forums seeking validation for their rationale. Not saying that's what anyone here does. Just pointing out another side of things. I've been on both sides of it. When I purchased my iPad Air (after coming from the 2) I was floored at all the negative comments in the forums all over the internets. It was an astoundingly awesome product upgrade for me. Changed everything. Yet, here was this massive contingent who took every opportunity to trash it, whether for lack of RAM or for it's thinness, or whatever. Many of those folks didn't even own the product, so I have to assume it was a sour grapes type of situation. But with the 6, I can honestly say that I actually love the form factor of my iPhone 5. I don't want a bigger phone at all. I have an iPad if I need a bigger screen. And apparently it has another leg up on the 6, because I'm pretty sure I couldn't bend it without a vice and a wrench.

  • I agree with what you said @boone51. The 4s is exactly the form factor I want. My wife just got a galaxy 5 sport and it's way too big for my taste. And I also got the air from the 2 (and I did mix quite a few songs in auria on the 2) and was blown away. And it's worked without issue since day 1 (I got it on day 1 last year!).

Anyway, I'm good with what I have and anybody who needs to upgrade for whatever the reason is, I hope it meets expectations. I find that I start obsessing over hardware, instruments, etc when I'm not busy. When I am busy with gigs, mixing, recording, family, or day job stuff, I don't even think about the hardware or software, I just use it.

  • could be used as a boomaring

  • Some of the people that do those bend test videos are after the numbers of views and others might just as well be samsung (or whatever other manufacturer) folk trying to discredit the competition. The internet is such a random place at the moment, anything is possible.

Who cares? Ipad is where the music is playing.

Lol, they can scream and shout as long as they want, it won't fix android.
I'm off to make some music on 8.0.1 now :)

Made me laugh really hard. So. True.

But I dunno dudes. A totally agree that haters gonna hate and I love my apple products but maybe the race for thin and light should have been slowed down a bit. If in that race you end up with a phone that bends maybe that's not the right material.

It is fucking amazing that in these bending videos that the glass doesn't break! Wth? So yeah, maybe pliable phones are the future.

My 4s treats me right. Love the size, never chokes. My only urge to upgrade is due to the camera upgrades.

Watch out when you hit the virtual keyboard on the coming iPad Air 2 because you will see your fingers on the back then on this amazing thin device. It will also fit perfect in your pocket because it is foldable. The holy grail of the mobile world...... o.k. i couldn't resist ;)
There is always a "gate" as we know. I agree with booth sides. This device is not made for outdoor usage but in general apple shows again that they can sell everything to their sheeps. I also like some of my apple products but the i(lemon)Pad and the whole new iPhones didn't belong to this. Hope they do not going to destroy the last good thing (Macs) too.

  • Looks like I got caught up in the linkbait hype too. Lots of bending smart phones over time: http://www.cultofmac.com/297404/get-bent-shocking-history-bent-smartphones/ (including the 4s, 5 and 5s)
