Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Anyone else unable to use Touch ID on their Mac/ iMac/ desktop... at all? **UPDATE: SOLVED**
This seems to be a problem caused by Sonoma. And I'm unable to solve this so far using some of the techniques described in this help thread at Apple.

Still works for me.
It seems to be a widespread issue, but not everyone is affected.
Have you tried power cycling the keyboard? I recall having a similar issue a while back and was able to fix by using the on/off slider on my external touchid keyboard off then on.
Yep. Didn’t do anything for me.
Update: It did work, however it requires a restart of the computer into Safe Mode first (see below).
Working normally here.
Which version of macOS? Which computer?
UPDATE: AHA! Problem is now fixed, thanks to some people on the Apple support boards.
It requires a restart into "Safe Mode":
https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac
Then, a disconnection, shut off and reconnection of the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.
THEN Touch ID works again.
