Why is there a "Save Draft button below the new post box when it saves the draft anyway. Wouldn't it be more useful as "Delete Draft"?

    That would definitely be more useful considering drafts are saved automatically.

    They're only saved every 60 seconds, so a save draft button is still useful I suppose.

    I just clean up my drafts from the right-hand menu every once in awhile. I don't feel the need for a Delete Draft button, certainly not enough to bother Michael about looking into. He has enough to do.
