Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

PRESET CREATORS
Hall of Shame
- @[Deleted User(s)] just kidding… I miss many of them
Comments
Wait. @cem_olcay wasn’t nominated?!!
No 4Pockets either.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
It is a bit hard on the self confidence, during my +three years as a member I've made about 80 videos and shared, all for free, more than 6-700 presets for various apps. Can't have been very memorable obviously😂😂😂
Seriously though: I really don't like these kind of things as they can never, ever, be fair.
We love you @Pxlhg ! These things are silly. Don’t take them personally.
I'm surprised I was "nominated" at all to be honest. I mean, when I get into my creative bag, there's no stopping me until I burn out. Then I go silent both musically and with the knowledge I tend to share. My latest claim to fame was nailing my friend @HotStrange with a well-timed "that's what she said" joke. 🤣 Wow, a real accomplishment indeed. (sarcasm)
Looking at the nominating thread I can see you made several comments but didn’t actually nominate anyone… but you are on the money @4pockets_paul is certainly al all star developer.
I have 1 month to add more names.
To be fair that was a hall of fame worthy “that’s what she said” moment. If they give trophy’s for that you would’ve earned one 😆
@Pxlhg for what it’s worth I always love the content you post and think you’re a super talented guy. Honestly I think all of us here are great in our own ways, devs included honestly. Happy to be a part of this great forum ❤️
Yes, Pxlhg’s presets rock.
And also, related to earlier posts, it seems many - totally understandably - don’t like the idea of bringing in some kind of awards to this space that is currently generally free from the rankings etc that dominate so much of the internet, so it seems this awards thing, while well intended, is unlikely to become any kind of tradition.
Agreed and absolutely no offense to @McD who is himself a very valuable member here. Maybe instead of a hall of fame/voting thread we could just have a yearly thread where we reminisce and talk about what made our years on iOS/ABF.
there has been some misunderstanding-
Not a voting thread
These are @McD ’s nominations.
Make your own!
ie: I nominate me for forum member. This because in nearly 90% of cases my post kills a thread. It’s a special talent
You got my vote. "Littlewoodg for pres"! LOL
i don't think i deserve being on hall of fame
but i think @McD should be there for creating this hall of fame
@McD 😭😭
Yup. TBH I hadn’t really thought of it as a lifetime achievement thing when I posted my list, just a bit of fun, but it’s way too easy to omit people that have made huge contributions, often for many years.
Maybe we should give the forum itself an award and leave it at that? After all, the huge wealth of knowledge and talent it’s fostered over its existence must be worth something like that.
😂 Fair. Lol.
🤣💀
Not to me, bud. 😁
😂😂😭😭 you’re easily a hall of famer in my book 📖
Ok.
I’m adding a category for Preset makers that are forum regulars:
@Pxlhg and @Spidericemidas are Hall of Fame worthy just for my own selfish needs. The regular creators that show up in a new synth are recognized my the developers but those that gift presets and supply support for installation are special forum contributors.
@Littlewoodg needs to be added for years of good conversations on threads and DM chats so that’s coming in an edit.
Keep calling out the oversights as they hit you.
For sure! Dont see them here as often but @RedSkyLullaby has made some amazing presets over the years as well.
Not until you mentioned him. I have added him to the developers list.
Well, this idea of @McD s ain’t perfect but it gets a conversation going. Since me and a couple of others have shut their mouths (and rightly so, I guess) there’s not much opportunity for some virtual beer drinking and wisecracks. I welcome any opportunity for that. Either it’s a community or just a Reddit thread.
You have been on fire for many months now. Which has helped since the improviser with 100+ albums succumbed to vision issues, arthritis and a relationship with another person.
Some days you had 3-4 creations on the front page. Getting feedback on work creates a virtuous circle that encourages the work. The forum serves as a unique place to find peers. Folks like @echoopera @richardyot @JanKun join you with a steady stream of high quality work in the current era.
There should be recognition for collaborations since @jankun has worked in multiple styles with some hall of fame level creators as well as producing solo work in those same genres of the highest quality. He’s a music monk and an informed commenter on the Asian continent. I’m always impressed by people that communicate better in English when it’s their 2nd or 3rd? Language than most of us.
We should also recognize @thesoundtestroom for stepping up to referee any controversies and play the timeout card. It’s a no pay thankless job with powers that could be abused but never seem to be.
No award for Watson?
Watson? IBM’s AI Project? Or Dr Watson the assistant to the mad genius?
You missed an opportunity to join @Simon and @Gavinski in a revolt against treating art as a popularity contest on the one place where it’s not. I will state that I probably won’t attempt this next year as the “committee of one”. In pretty sure that I would join the critics at commenting on the ridiculousness of comparing art against art without any distinct criteria. I’m not a fan of rules… but saying thanks is never wrong.
We still missed a lot of creators worth adding like @Frenq David English etc
Not cool to be left off when it’s got all the regulars.
Thanks.
I’ve come to realize that my comment might have seemed somewhat peevish. That was not my intent.
I would like to say thank you to @GeoTony for the nomination. I know I haven't been posting much lately due to a long bout of depression. 2023 has been a very challenging year.
If I tried to mention everyone that deserves recognition for their contributions to this forum it would be the longest post ever. So many people have made this place more than just a forum about Audiobus and the various apps we use with it.
I'm grateful for all of you.
