Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Loopy Pro Guitar Channel Strip Workflow Ideas
A bit late to the party but I have just got around to getting Loopy Pro. Looks like saving channel strips is on the roadmap which will solve the problem at some point.
What do you guys do for quick access to different channel strips settings just now? Like if I want to have a 1 button press for quick access to a bunch of different guitar tones made from individual au fx apps?
I would do it all in ToneStack Pro but unless I’m missing something it looks like Loopy can’t see its presets

i set up templates.
Same, does the trick.
my basic template has a few different buses that are common setups i use. i delete the ones i won't use.
@espiegel123
Do you mean project templates? Saving with the star?
Can you give me a bit more info on how you go about it?
A bunch of tones in a project? Or a tone per project?
Or am I not understanding what you mean by template?
Yeah I set up a few buses earlier and was messing about with them.
If you’ve got an existing loopy project with some other stuff going on, says drums and keys. Can you then bring them in?
Yes, I mean project templates (saving with a star). I create templates with common elements that I use. When I create a new project with the template, I will remove elements if I am sure I won't use them.
There isn't currently a way to import buses from other projects.
If you save the presets individually in Loopy's preset system (tap the folder icon in the plugin window), then you can use actions to select them.
@noisyninja. If you're using multiple AUv3's then you can set up a widget to select a the needed preset from each one. For instance, a dial could be set up with each step of the dial performing as many actions as needed to change each effect's preset or individual settings and to disable or enable plugins them as needed to conserve processing power.
For my purposes, just a bus or two with general FX chains is enough. But I'm only jamming and don't mind adjusting things on-screen. If I was performing, I'd be after what you are, and I would probably want to have the minimum plugins loaded.
Thanks for the tips @wim. I’m also only jamming and if I’m being honest it’s not that big of a deal to adjust on screen either. I Should probably take a leaf out of your book as I’m very guilty of spending more time tinkering with my setup than actually playing!
Problem is I hadn’t came across the dial yet as I have only had it a few days, now that I have my mind is in overdrive with the possibilities. It really is quite insane what you can do with this app.
If it's of any interest, I've settled on this single FX chain control (shown on the left of the screen) for jamming. Short press enables/disables each FX and long-press toggles each FX window to display. This is nice because I can then save some screen real-estate by hiding the app buttons at the bottom of the screen. I rarely need to bring up the mixer, which is another plus.
@wim - that’s great, I really like that setup. I think I’ll mimic that for now as a starting point and then tweak to suit my needs.
I had a jam this morning and I just had too many things open that it wasn’t productive.
