Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Interface

Hey
I’ve really found a mini modular home with my Roland s-1 and korg Volca drum

My problem is this: when my interface is connected to my iPad it makes the s-1 the master. I don’t want it to do that. It does it in every daw . I have bm3, zb3, cb3 and Auria pro but I can’t see anywhere to ignore one interface or select the master

Is there a way to choose or assign whcih interface you want to use when plugged into a hub of many interfaces (3 or 4 in total all plugged into one hub)

[I think Logic allows you to choose but besides that, is there a way to maybe disable it on the synthesizer itself if iOS doesn’t allow it? The reason I want to hook it up is for sequencer data and dRambo ]

  • Hi. I assume you're referring to audio interfaces. The iOS USB system supports only one audio interface at a time. Normally the last one connected wins, so you could try disconnecting the one you want to use, and plug it in last. No app can override this, since iOS doesn't make the other connected interfaces visible. You could also try disabling the audio interface feature in your other gear, using their settings.

Actually that surprisingly worked! It isnt exactly “smooth” but better than nothing . Thanks
