Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • Sweet! Is it a temporary discount? There’s a handful I want but I just don’t have the storage capacity right now so I’m waiting until I upgrade iPads next month to redownload the app.

Thanks for the patch. What are the new multi-instruments?

Also, I don’t know how to check if the “Guzheng & Santoor” pack is fixed; the demo expired a long time ago, and I lost my bonus on a random pack just by tapping it. ;)

If anyone else has that pack, I need to check “Koto” and “Lore & Guzheng” on octaves 3, 2, and 1. There should be no weirdly layered noises.

I remember Harry saying the sale will go to at least the end of this month, maybe he can give a more exact date tho.

If you really like some, can u just buy them and not download them?

The app is a mess. I absolutely love it and think the orchestral sounds are some of the best anywhere but the store… Jesus. It’s janked as hell. Obviously there was the problem at the outset, that seemed to be resolved but it just goes mental. Yesterday it refused to play half of the sounds I have bought, the selection menus couldn’t decide what they were doing between the one at the bottom and the top, I had to restart a few times, it crashed a few times, and eventually I had to re-download some sample packs. It crashed halfway through this. Then didn’t work again. Then did.

    So that’s normal.

A constant has been, as is the case now, that the sample store shows loads of mad coloured boxes some with writing some without, for sample packs, with the ones I bought sometimes sayung bonus, sometimes not, now that I pressed them all again yesterday. But mostly now it’s a lot of crashed janked looking green boxes, no indication given of which are installed - not one says installed anymore. And on top of that if I click on a sample pack I do have installed - about which I cannot be sure because half the time they stop working for no reason - it starts installing, with the download meter, regardless of if I have it or not.

Again. I love this app. It’s brilliant. It would just be nice if the store behaved normally and it didn’t randomly stop playing sounds

  • same with audiolayer, really love it. but the file structure is a mess.
i would be already happy with get rid of the expired demos which occupies my device, maybe without completely reinstall and build up my instruments and file structure from zero.

  • @virsyn, when i do a complete reinstall and import my own libraries ( export before reinstall) ,
is the expired demo content then gone?
    (audiolayer)

  • @VirSyn, is it possible to delete the default sound packs? There are some iap packs that I’d definitely be interested in, especially at the current prices, but 2.17gb before any extra packs are downloaded is just too much for my limited storage space unfortunately.

I talked to Kurt about this layered noises and he told me that these are part of the sound of this instruments! I'm no expert for this, but if you want to get rid of these you could use AudioLayers mapping function to get them out of the way...

My head is now tumbling even after only reading this...
To get a cut into this jungle I would suggest that we continue this via e-mail to me ( support(at)virsyn.de ).

The default sound pack can't be deleted at the moment, but I plan to make them an extra (free) download and the it could be deleted. Please stay tuned for the next update.

Lmao I guess I should’ve considered the obvious 🤦🏻‍♂️ thanks. Yeah I guess I’ll do that now 😂

  • XinematiX 1.3.5 released: 60 new Multi instruments, Key latch and bugfixes:

  • edited October 2023

The YouTube video says 60, the update text says 55, and “XinematiX_ SoundList.pdf” says nothing; it is not updated. @VirSyn, pretty please give a sound bank update list. 🙏

    Great update, thank you! 🤩

Not available at all on the UK app store - hoping it's a temporary glitch while the update is loaded?

  • I just chatted to Harry from Virsyn - there was a glitch and he had to remove the app while he puts up a new build, which will need to be approved again

Same issue here in xinematix. When you click “download sample libraries” a pop up displays “No sound library purchased: Go to Sample Store to purchase the sound libraries.” If i go to audiolayr i can download the trials of the libraries…. Maybe when 7 day trial is over it will ask to purchase. Definitely a bit buggy.

  • Thanks Gav

  • anyone knows how many GBs should I prepare for the IAP content?

It’s not even on the App Store at the moment, but my update works just fine. I tried to download the pack, and it also works fine. Well, better not touch anything till the update arrives. ;) Thank you for the information!

  • Hi all,

sorry about the mess. I'm currently waiting for Apple support to respond. I simply have to enable the in app purchase "Complete access path" to get it running, but the App Store won't let me...

The current version should anyway give acces to all libraries to those who purchased 3 or four libraries ( depending on the price )

    Cheers
    Harry

No worries. Thanks so much for such a generous offer!

I know it’s a bit of damned if you do thing but.. not particularly ecstatic about having been gouged for loads of libraries in the first place, the whole debacle getting charged for libraries tht then constantly try to recharge me for downloading… and now all for 20, which is basically an admission it was massively overpriced.

Sorry, irritated. This is still by miles the best app for orchestral sections alongside staff pad on iOS. But it’s been an absolute car crash, worse than any other app I’ve used in 20 years on iOS from the start, with taking money then not giving people what they paid for trying to recharge, weird lack of clarity over whether you actually own something or not in iaps

In the end I actually lost track it became too stressful trying to work out what I was overcharged for but I paid for a load of stuff. Was not given it. Then recharged. Then they apparently fixed it and I ended up with all this credit I couldn’t use as I already had a load of iaps. Probably 100 quid or so was taken for nothing

  • That's awesome. How does one direct these to save to an SSD?
