Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

How much can an American get for a 64 gb Wi-Fi iPad Air 5 w/Magic Keyboard mouse and Apple Pencil ? What should I expected to hope to get from online or trade in , if there’s a promo?

  • Check eBay.
If that gives you too big a range, if you have an account, walk through the motions of putting one up for sale. eBay will recommend a selling price.

You can also go to Apple.com and it’ll give you a trade in value. It’ll be significantly lower than what you can sell it for privately though.

  • Trade-in is probably very dependent on company and promotions. Maybe check eBay prices on items and assume that trade-in will be slightly more than that?

Unless you need more storage, what you have is more than fine. And even storage can be worked around.

I mean, you might be right. Wim has reassured me the iPad is all good and the apps are there somewhere in the account. and I was thinking about what you said and maybe the solution is just subscribing to iCloud and keeping my files and stuff in the cloud , minimally saving on the iPad except when needed.

I made the mistake of deleting apps to make room thinking I can redownload them. Now I’m taking the opposite approach. I’m downloading all my apps and system files , and then use iCloud or external for saving

I mean Michael might also have my second choice which is a promotion for a trade , next time I’m going 128-256Gb! That’s for sure

(I don’t do eBay after someone did a reversal on a iPhone I sold)

  • @dreamcartel, offloading apps is a better strategy than deleting them to save space. Offloading removes the program but keeps the data. When you need to use the app again it re-downloads the app automatically and for the most part it’s just like it was. Sometimes IAPs have to be restored though. Just be sure to offload them individually. Whatever you do don’t enable the option for iOS to manage it for you.

Storing things in iCloud can be problematic. You have no control over what stays on your device. You can need to re-download the files almost every time you use them. If you’re without internet access and the files are only in the cloud at the time you’re out of luck.

I disagree that 64 go is enough for a music making device. That’s just too much hassle if you ask me. But ymmv.

  • @wim Thanks wim

I didn’t know that was a safer option for unloading, thank you, I wouldn’t have lost my user files that way, hard lesson learned…..
Also I agree. 64 gb isn’t enough after trying for almost a year. You need 128 minimum. 256 + preferable

I didn’t know that when I started on iOS production with drambo ; I just figured use the cloud, but as you also noted, and it seems i usually end up agreeing with you and hotstrange, the cloud screwed Me before, or rather apple security failed, and I lost irreplaceable stuff , and then So I usually do a triple physical backup now; usb drive, microSD card and an external + BR drive disc

It is time now to probably take the vidoes off and onto the hard drive and just keep them saved offline on the drives …and if/when apple does a good
