Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

i tried downloading it from the official side,
says 18mb, but just stop the download after some time.

  • Worked for me I just downloaded it on my phone a little bit ago. personally like the samples that are under the free tab on the site
I think you tried downloading the vortex ones, those are good as well.

  • i managed to download the individual drum hit.

  • I downloaded them and used in Didgistix2. They sound great, do you have any recommended cymbals/hi hats to go with them?
    Cheers

  • good question. i just got the free multidrumset around as sfz imported into audiolayer.
    looking for cymbals too.

  • I use the cymbals from the metal factory samples website. They are not free but sound good. There are many sample libraries on their site. This is where I wish auria pro still worked good because these samples loaded into their drumagog work very well

  • Beat Scholar seem to have been totally forgotten in this thread. Curious why that is as it sounds pretty darn good.

This is very true. It’s not meshuggah but it’s great sound/ kits.

It’s funny how some people love beat scholar and it often goes ignored otherwise

    Good call… px!

Can I ask someone., when you play a drum track like an auv3 that is on automatic , if you play a roll or something, does the midi get captured by “freezing” or does it depend on the AU 3 and circumstance

Like does freezing make all midi played in the drums into static notes? I mean for like digistix, pulse and beat scholar and stuff

Id you don’t have beat scholar I recommend it; also if want lmk how you write drums like that in standard linear midi if you don’t have beat scholars

    It’s really helpful

Beat scholar is good for experimenting with beats but it as no multi velocity layer samples and no round robin.

When I get time I want to try Beat scholar playing Beathack accoustic drums that are multiple velocity layer.

I like Hammerhead a lot. You can program randomness that sound very interesting.

Also I am playing more with Zenbeats Drums. The library of included midi Beats are very useful. Multi out is very useful.

Zenbeats has become my new favorite ; the ZR1 is very capable and expansive sounds
