Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Looks fantastic
If this were MPE supporting my linnstrument ipad playing existence would be elevated a level!
Does the bottom-left panel where bend says all notes, have an option for per note??????????? Might mod be cc74? Do I live in eternal hope?
@4pockets_paul
I second the hope for MPE on this
One. The Linnstrument is hungry for more
Physical modeling.
Yes indeed
Looks and sounds real pretty.
Great stuff!
MPE please but wow!!!!!!
So stoked for this. I know a lot of us have been really wanting a new standalone physical modeling synth. This is one of my dream iOS releases. As much as I love the Icegear synths, they’re often too niche to be as general as something like this. Looking forward to it.
Oh, yes...
Buying it
It looks like a good buy to me… ive never really messed with physical modelling. I think this has some lush sounds in it… i think “plucked sounds” are gonna greatly benefit from being physically modelled.
This seems to have that “other worldly ambience” that a D50 has, to me… which i like!
Sounds a lot like Rings and Elements.
I hate "Coming Soon" 😤
Want .... NOW!
🤓
For an intuitive touch focused interface just get humbletune Strng.
Released in 2019.
Can't wait to get my hands on this and see if I can get some guitar-like sounds out of it. There's a lot of very interesting sound controls in it and I like the layout too.
There’s always another app but every app also has its own unique features and sounds so it’s not as simple as “just getting another app”. If someone wants Buttersynth, telling them “just get Model D” isn’t going to suffice. Strng is great but why promote another synth that already gets a lot of praise in a thread where people are excited for something new coming out?
Yes, Strng is really great.
But just look at the screenshot of StringLab, don't even listen to it.
Sooo many knobs.
And we all know the classic formula: Knobs x Amazing.
So StringLab is waaay more amazing. 🤓
Oh this does look tempting & the demo sounds are interesting & promising.
I’m really curious to see how it might handle external audio input as the exciter for all those objects/resonators.
Oh, yes! Very cool. Might be Paul's best yet.
Remember Laplace.
Yep I still love all the Icegear stuff, but this seems like it’s kinda doing it down thing. The Icegear synths have always leaned more experimental and esoteric. A standard run of the mill PM synth like this is much need, imo. Even Strng is a bit too niche to be as generally useful as this (as much as I love that app).
I could be wrong but that’s how I see it.
Great sounds in Doug’s video. Probably an instabuy from me
Absolutely, can't wait.
The String OSC idea was a great addition to Copperhead. This looks like it's taking that idea a lot further and deeper. Very excited for this one.
I got no shortage of resonators, but this seems tailored to get results. The KS algorithm can sound a little thin on its own, here it seems it has been fed on steroids with musical results in mind. Just what the doctor ordered
Wow I missed that update somehow. I need to dive into this asap haha.
anyone know if 4pockets apps run on M1 macs?
Not all of them. Copperhead works and I used to be able to get SideBand Remix to work, but now it's a no go. It fails validation in Logic Pro on macOS. MIDI Strummer is also no go, as is NuRack.
I don't own all of his plugins.
MasterClass #1 video already available
I was using Caustic string synth too do these type of sound. It will be good to have a auv3 synth instead.
Sounded very fun when he used it as a playable audio effect.
Paul’s productivity is impressive. I hope his health issues are under control.
I want this one for sure.
I use PianoTeq 8 a lot to create similar faux instruments by tweaking the models of it’s pianos, harps, guitars, steel drums…
Physical modeling is my favorite synthesis model… probably for the illusion of reality that transports my imagination. I do love it when any synth method sounds physical. The wooden presets in Tera Pro for example.
I hope this one drops soon… I need a new app fix bad.
The future is physical... modeling.
That song is worse than I remembered.
