big band samples
I'm looking for free samples/wav files of jazzy, non-orchestral articulations of wind and brass instruments such as trombone plunger, growls, bends, and snorts, razzy brass, muted trumpets, wind instrument trills. Any ideas?

I've created some super vintage sounding brass stabs and riffs with thumbjam. I know it's not the same but can do the trick.
There's a lot of free samples you can get from the music radar site. Basically loads of stuff they once put out on free CDs mounted on magazines.
I'm sure you could find some brass stuff on there somewhere. Although I can't vouch for the quality.
Niether free, but right next to it; Old jazz vinyl or the Session Band Jazz app. The bennefit of the old records is you actually have to listen to the album.
