Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Connecting LK to Ableton Live — help needed
Following on from yesterday, when I asked about MIDI controller options using iPad and iPhone, I'm trying to connect LK to Ableton Live 11. And failing so far. I'm connecting over wifi, and in LK, all the boxes and devices are green checked in the MIDI settings on the left menu.
I've followed the instructions and troubleshooting on the Imaginando website, so far as I can see.
The image below shows what I'm seeing in the settings for UBridge and in Live.
My MacBook Pro is showing up in LK, and selected.
I'm trying to connect it for use in MIDI mode, rather than Live mode right now, although I will need to do both.
I'm currently testing setup from my iPhone, then will do the same with my iPad. Ideally, I'd like to connect both, if that's possible? In the long run I aim to use my iPhone for Mod wheel and Pitch wheel functionality, when using my xKey Air and Keith McMillen K-Board-C, which don't have them. And to use my iPad for faders, in particular, for Kontakt instruments.
The key issue I can see is that whilst I have both Ableton, and an IP address showing up for my iPhone in UBridge, LK is not showing up as an option under control surface settings in Ableton Live.
Can anyone here point me to a resource that might help, or let me know anything obvious that I'm missing, before I contact Imaginando support?
This is what I'm seeing:

@andowrites : if you are connecting in midi mode, LK is sending its midi to UBridge. Have you checked to see if Ableton is receiving midi from LK, when you use l j’s keyboards of controllers?
Thanks for helping.
How do I do that? I'm new to LK in this context (I always used it in AUM though), and I am still learning my way around Ableton. I have no trouble connecting my other midi controllers.
What do you mean by this?
@andowrites : have you tried using the setup instructions that imaginando supplies?
Yes, I followed those, and then the troubleshooting. Hence my question here. Just to be sure I'm not overlooking something obvious before I contact Imaginando.
I closed and restarted Ableton Live, and LK is now showing up under the MIDI Control Surface settings in Live's Preferences. So I feel I'm close to getting this working as a MIDI controller now, but I still can't get it to work. So there must be a further reason for that.
Restarting Live was certainly the obvious thing I was missing, going through the LK support notes at Imaginando. I eventually picked that up on my third run through the instructions.
Also, the good news is that Live mode is working in LK now, and I can see my clips etc. So I'm very happy about that!
Fingers crossed, a full solution is near now…
Issue even closer to resolved.
I thought I needed to run it in MIDI mode for the MIDI controller element on the LK keyboard to work in Live, but I switched it to Live mode, and that worked fine. The same with the Chorder LK function.
So now on to getting the faders in LK working in Live. This, I have yet to crack, but am assuming now it should run in Live mode to work, but I need to work out how to assign them to the functions I wish to assign them to, and guessing that I'll get there with perseverance. It feels like I'm making more progress without the online manual at this stage, to be honest.
I've only used MIDI in the most basic ways until now. I'm learning a lot right now…
