Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
New Album by Nova Cascade - The Navigator - All Proceeds go to Pancreatic Cancer UK
The Navigator is the 4th album from Ambient Prog band Nova Cascade, founded in the late 2010s. They are an internet-based project whose current line-up consists of:
Dave Hilborne (UK) - the main composer and driving force for the band, who plays, programs and arranges keyboards and provides emotion laded vocals. Dave has been a musician in various projects for over 30 years.
Charlie Barmaid (UK) - Flute (Charlie is also a much-respected vocalist who is part of several other projects, including Ghost of the Machine, Age of Distraction, Shadows on Mercury and recently toured as a guest vocalist with Zio).
Dave Fick (USA) - Bass (also plays with other bands)
Lorenzo Poliandri (Italy) - Drums
Colin Powell (UK) - Guitars, keyboards and additional programming.
Nino Chikviladze (Georgia) - Violin
This album is dedicated to the memory of the late Nova Cascade member Eric Bouillette who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer during the recording of this album. Eric was a much-loved musician who played with many other bands, including Solace Supplice, Nine Skies, The Room, Drifting Sun and Imaginaerium.
All proceeds from this album are being donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
You can pre-order the album on CD or digital download at https://novacascade.bandcamp.com/album/the-navigator (note: there were only a few pre-order CDs left for the release date batch but more will follow as demand dictates)
The album is due for official release on 29th September but has already had significant radio play and has received some stunning reviews in the progressive rock arena!
Comments
Just finished listening to the whole album Colin.
It is a thing of great beauty 🙏
Fantastic guitar playing throughout, I especially enjoyed Submerged and the acoustic on the final track.
A rightly glowing review here https://theprogressiveaspect.net/blog/2023/09/29/nova-cascade-the-navigator/
I encourage everyone to listen to this 😊
Thank you @GeoTony - the main guitars on the 2 tracks you mentioned (and the lead guitar in the title track) were actually played by Eric Bouillette, who was their original guitar who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer during the recording of the album (hence the proceeds pf the album being donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK). He was a very talented musician and recorded his final part only 72 hours before he died.
It was an honour to have been asked to help out on this project.
Apologies Colin… it’s still a flipping good piece of music 👌
