Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Inspired by Chris Lody's latest YouTube video... Feedback loops and granular effects...

I did this little experiment using the filter from ivcs3 (it was the first one I could think of that self oscillates), k7d and silo. Setting these up in a feedback loop in AUM can reveal some surprising and horrifying results. Just remember to have a limiter in there somewhere. Sorry if this is old old news, but I never thought of running a granular effect in a feedback loop before:

Experiment in “no input” noise making using feedback loops in #k7d #silo and the filter from #ivcs3 which self oscillates. These are sounds made only with effects plug-ins! Be sure to have a limiter as it can get very loud. This was an early morning experiment inspired by @chrislodymusic and his video on the #texturelab by #sonicware If you screen record your experiments you can load them into koala easily for further tweaking. Sorry if this is teaching grandmothers to suck eggs, but I found it interesting with the granular effect added.
