Project timeout....apps falling asleep on shutdown of iPad

Has anyone tried to keep an Audiobus setup running in the background on shutting down your iPad ?
Example: I had cloud dj, Sunrizer, rebirth, Audiobus and bm2 all setup and mid way through creating a track i decided to call it a day and I closed my ipad down for the night.
On waking the ipad up first thing in the morning I found the following....
Sunrizer had gone to sleep within Audiobus and when I woke it up it restarted with a default patch.
Rebirths audio had stopped streaming to bm2 even though no settings had been changed.
Cloud DJ had also fell asleep within Audiobus and when I woke it up it restarted with no track loaded and for some reason on reloading Cloud DJ I then started to hear Rebirths Audiostream coming through again !!!
I also noticed that the bm2 project was no longer called 'Lifeforms' as I had named and saved it but 'Last Session'.
Is there a way to avoid all this ?
If so could someone please be kind enough to share it ?
