Speaking of class compliant would you be able to use say iconnectmidi4+ to use something like this?

Yep, if it would come with Komplete inside i would consider it. I like that it can highlight scales via the LED. Would be a perfect keyboard for a non player like me. I really prefer real keys this days and a few knobs to feel and touch screens for editing etc.
