Logic Pro : AUV3 parameter automation workaround

It’s how you can in fact automate an AUV3 parameter manually listening in real time to the result B)

Not via AUV3 GUI, only one parameter at a time, but no need to draw a curve first. Mostly good enough for production IMO, waiting for better.

    that is track automation, you can record automation also directly into clip .. with plugin UI opened you just choose if you want record into track or into region (== clip) .. latch or touch mode ... and you're done you can tweak any knobs and it records automation

    beware of one thing - if you ave enabled creating multiple recording takes instead of merge (in loop mode) per-region automations are always recorded to active take .. to see actually those autoations, you need then in track timeline switch to proper take ..

    Mmh UI knobs automation don’t work here with any AUV3 I’ve tried. Only via tiles which are limited to non customizable parameters or with this method above.

    Thanks. So it’s a workaround for vast majority of AUV3 not recording automation via GUI knobs.

    Hm ok then probably i was just lucky those i tried worked out ..
