What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Push 3 | A Slice of an Observation
The Push3 is a wonderful thing.
I just had a transcendental and moving experience with it for over an hour. I was in the zone with it and the Deluge and P3 native Drumkits…it’s exactly what I’ve been searching for.
You have to love using Ableton Live in order to get the most out of it.
Simpler slicing and Warping is just so good.
It sounds phenomenal on the hardware. Like having Serato in hardware.
I’ve heard the OctaTrack, Tracker, MPC One, SP404mk2 and the M+ and they all sound subpar in the sound warping department.
I was dropping audio tracks -16 semitones and they sounded buttery smooth.
And those were multilayered sounds with drums and melodies baked in. I then sliced them up for magically new directions.
It’s like the Push3 just allowed me to focus on the sound i wanted in order to create the vibe i was going to discover during the process of creating music.
I’ve only ever achieved this flow state on the laptop. Having arrived to this sacred space with Hardware was a revelation and exactly what I’ve been searching for with an instrument.
Happy Camper Pushing forward 👊🏼🎚️
This was a great video. Thanks for posting it @Jumpercollins
@echoopera Did think of your recent purchase and setup when I spotted Nick had posted it.
Simon Stokes actually put a longer video out on his own channel covering the Push not sure it covers the same ground looks more like a release overview.

Finally got everything set up the way i imagined and am loving it:
Here’s my first little groove from this perfect union:

Having Simpler in StandAlone is seriously fun.
@echoopera oh yeah. Man that is so clean. Really nice work. Looks like a very fun setup. Is the deluge as cool as it looks?
Many thanks.
Yep. The Deluge is everything i hoped it would be.
Btw, i picked these up recently and they run great on the Push:

Saturday Night Groove for the Push 3 Gang:
So, after some months I decided to try again with push 3 as i love the unit, unfortunately I have the same issue. it must be a design issue with the bottom row pads, maybe not enough sensor space on that bottom row, as its the lower values of slide that are Wibberley wobbly. Exactly the same issue as my other 2 faulty units, all the pads are rock solid on slide control except the bottom row.
i will return it, no chance i will try again unless i see some rev 2/manufacturing update of push 3 noticed by people on the internet.
Thats too bad, sure seems to be a lot of Push 3 duds out there. 😭
That's disappointing. I had almost convinced myself to get one, but now will definitely wait or pass.
yep, its breaking my heart, just made some lovely music on it too but have to return it.
Damn
Hmm...if you truly 'love' it just have them replace it...otherwise you might be pining for it for a long time...but of course, having that cash back is always good too
This is my third unit already.
Akai did a smart move hitting the price gap
although a used Push2 might be a better choice
APC64 is just a controller with some basic sequencing abilities as standalone
Wow...I'd make Ableton pay you for the hassle they've put you through.
If it had MPE, I'd buy it right away.
Have you tried the beta releases at all? They have fixed various pad issues with updates over time, some people who used to have problems dont have them anymore.
hey man, yep tried the beta same issue, if you Wack on the drift default, add MPE Control and highlight slide.
then test bottom row pads the low values are wobbly and can be seen on the MPE control, can be clearly heard on the drift saw wave sound too, it shakes around.
all other rows are rock solid, i think it's a design issue. there isn't enough senor space as the finger slides to the bottom of the pad... you hit the metal of the unit so i guess less senor recognition.
or it's just the bottom row have a fault in Manufacturing.
Weird I got a first batch one and never noticed any problems, I just tried this and seems all good to me, must be my good luck for a change!
happy for you sir, and smart to test it just in case.
I think the main advantage is that it doesn't have MPE , only polyaftertouch , keeping the price low
If the hardware has poly aftertouch then it has everything it needs for MPE to be added through software, right?
Nope, theres no Z plane on polyaftertouch controllers.
Ah, but actually they're missing X/Y (glide/slide)
Edit: I see now, Z plane is the same as the X/Y dimensions
by software you can only assign pressure and release for MPE
OK so I spoke to Ableton, going to speak to tech then probably try a replacement. I'm very inspired by this machine but I have to get a fully working one. It been a real hassle!
Will keep the forum posted as its important to show the down sides of hardware especially when the prices are high.
I feel many people buy gear and don't necessary use them so much and maybe miss some faults initially.
Good luck on this new unit. I hope the kinks have been worked out of it this time around 👊🏼
Fingers crossed for you!
