What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

[Logic Pro] - Preset Share

As with many current DAW, the desktop version of Logic allows user-presets for synths and FX to be saved. In addition, it’s possible to save Channel-Strips (Combo’s of instruments & FX) and Track-Stacks (Multiple stacked channel-strips, with added processing for entire stack, playable at the same time). There’re also various samplers and drum samplers.

Thought it might be a good idea to set up a place where we can share some of our personal combinations with the community.

Some considerations:

Please only include source material that is included with Logic Pro, whether samples, instruments or FX. Of course, any original personal content can be shared e.g sampled instruments or Alchemy presets made from original field-recordings, instrument recordings etc.

I believe it’s also possible to create new sampler instruments using original sounds derived from anything included with Logic, e.g Apple loops etc. as long as none of the resulting sounds are being sold.

One last consideration is that it might be the case that Logic on iOS has a restriction on the amount of FX in a strip. This is something to bear in mind if designing sounds on the desktop version, with the aim of universal compatibility.

Such details, along with the how-to's of sharing, are still unknown. I'll update this original post as this becomes clearer.

    Perhaps we could try to work out standardised naming conventions for categories, by genre, instrument type etc.
