Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.Download on the App Store
Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
NOISES bank share thread… Share your banks, if you like.
This is something I’ve dreamed about for ages, I feel that Noises by audiothing is so much fun and so cool regarding making banks, that a place where people can share their creations would be really cool. So I’m gonna try to start one… maybe no one is interested, but I’m gonna try…
So… here’s the first bank, it’s a collection of mechanical drones and noise made with Thermo synth. It’s fun with the bit crusher and also picking out textures with the built in filter. Its got an aggressive sci-fi vibe.
It’s called… Thermo
This is a fantastic bank, thank you so much for sharing! I hope this thread blows up
Hey! Thanks very much! I hope it does too! Here’s another bank…
Tones and noise made in Hilda.
This one is so much fun to tinker with! The photo for this bank is hilarious 😂
I’ll try and share one later, do you zip up the folder or is it already done on iOS? (I’ve a few already made but they’re on my laptop…)
On iOS it does it all automatically when you export. V cool.
I'm stupid, I think......but how do I import the banks?
Predictably enough, rolled my own from tubes…
Click on the burger menu top right and import bank. Then click on the zip you wanna import
I did, but do they show up under the 'user' presets? Because it's empty.
To be fair, anyone could roll any combo of their own like this from the Metropolis pack, I need to do another round of sample extracting and get more original pirate material into the world🏴☠️
This is so much simpler than how I was importing them, really appreciate it!
Some of these bowed strings sounding tones work really great!
There’s a difference between a bank and a preset. Banks are banks of samples, presets are settings for all the controls, including which bank is in use. You can load a preset and then change the bank, leaving the settings intact. So the imported bank will show in the bank list, not the preset list.
Thank you--Ive been trying to sus this relationship.
Wonder what some vocal banks would be like...
I’d like to create a few banks but I’m having a problem. In the manual it says to click on the hamburger icon and go to settings, banks path, banks folder. But when I click on settings I am given two options- MIDI and Pitch Options.
Am I missing something?
Doug's video explains exactly how to create a bank from your own samples on an iPad - the manual is referring to the desktop version....
I guess the manual is Desktop-based. File handling is different on iOS.
Click on the little plus sign by the bank selector. That’s where it is now. Took me a while
@sevenape @Krupa Thanks for the banks, they sound great!
Noises from bento noise box:
A couple more, the first one won’t import into my iPad but I think it may be because I borked it the first time round and now there’s a mangled folder with the same name buried in the install somewhere. I made it from the desktop but initially zipped the folder rather than the files, this is a corrected version
The second is some field recordings from Greece, possibly binaural but I can’t remember now - should really be more edited but that’s part of the fun too maybe?

Thank you @Krupa!!!!!
You’re most welcome, let me know if that message pack works or not if you would, and I posted a little demo using the the bells one in creations…
Bells works and sounds very nice! Messages doesn’t
Ah, so strange, I don’t get it as I’ve exported others from desktop and they’ve worked… I’ll rebuild it on iPad and export from there…
And yeah, Noises is a great place to just bung loads of field recordings and see what happens!
