The newest run of iConectMIDI4+ now comes with a lightning connection cable. Australia was one of the first to get the new stock.

This is very cool news. The release of the new lightning cable combined with the new pic of the iconnectaudio4+ prototype on facebook where it appears the switch is removed so you can use usb host and dual computing devices simultaneously means I might be owning one of these as soon as they are available. It's all based on the pricing now.

Can you tell us if there is any performance benefit to using the lightning cable vs the 30 pin to lightning adapter?
Hey @KDub, sorry for the delay - I did not get an email notification for this thread. There has not been any reports of a performance difference when using an adaptor vs the lightning connection cable. The only adaptor that will change hardware performance is the Apple Camera Connection Kit, which is not recommended although some features will work.
