Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Flip Sampler - best source for sample packs

Hello

I am diving deeper into Flip and would love to add some sample packs of my own. I am very new to the world of sample packs and would appreciate some help in finding a good website or two with a large collection of cool sample packs. Is there a „you gotta know this place“ kind of site? Thank you!

They are everywhere. Literally. Your device will very soon have 30 gigs of samples, lol. Just Google or search free loops and samples, or free “instrument” samples, or search this forum for the same thing. Audio samples, drum kits, one shots, loops, multi-layered, multi-velocity, are all good terms

Some great sites with good free ones…in no order.

SampleRadar - sub site of MusicRadar
Reverb.com - lots of amazing free packs, Complete Drum Machine Bundle, Studio drums, etc…
    Cymatics.fm
Samples from Mars - only a few free but great stuff
    Slate Digital
    GoldBaby - free page
    ADSR
    WA Production
    Legowelt

A lot of major companies of software, or sampling/e-drum hardware or even app developers have free samples and other goodies on their websites.

    For example…

Alesis - has a great free pack called alesis sample and loop library
    Ableton has free stuff.
AudiModern has free packs for Loopmix
    Caelum Audio has free packs

You will also find tons of great lists out there when you search… “the 20 best sites for free samples” etc..

It’s endless, you will have no trouble finding good stuff for free, and if you like paid. 95% of my super massive sample library is free.

  • Citizen DJ
    Internet Archive
    FreeSound
    Big Fish Audio

There’s also the 2023 Desktop Samples & Plugins Thread in this forum which has sales and freebies on plug ins, presets, and samples.

I wish I could give you 1-2 sights but that’s pretty much impossible considering all the potential things that could be sampled, and all the places to get those samples.

Reverb.com is a good place to start
    SampleRadar has a ton too.

Not the OP but didn’t know about the Alesis and Caelum packs so thanks for that!

Cool collection of links, thanks (not the OP either).

When it comes to paid but cheap, humblebundle.com has two great bundles for 20 bucks. One is ending tomorrow I think, and it has a couple of good cherry audio synths for desktop, too.

And Adsr.com has nice bundles, especially around holidays. I love the Origin Sounds bundle, I bought there.
