Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Drm V - TestFlight "A work in progress"

I started this one on Sunday whilst I was on the train.

I videoed this last night.

All 8 x Tracks have identical synth machines.

2 x oscillators
1 x noise generator (Lo pass/Hi pass filtered)

Pitch modulators

2 x LFO's
2 x Env Ad Mod
2 x Random generators
2 x Amp Env Ad Mod
1 x Decimator
1 x Shaper set to Fold
1 x Shaper set to Sat 1

About halfway through you can see me do some mid flight midi mapping
and double checking to see what works and what doesn't.

The patch is called ,"Drm v"

Yeah,...it's on route...

Enjoy

  • I like the sound of this!

  • Are knobs per voice ( without encoders ) ?

Or a few knobs and fader per synth?

Currently it’s sixteen knobs per instrument.

I’ll take a screenshot later so
you can see where I’m at so far.

    Ok.

    Although just volumes.

    Reminds me of shockwave synth.

    Faders for envelopes.

@sigma79 as promised here’s a screenshot of the “panel”.

All of those knobs are mapped to the LaunchControl XL.
    This design has eight Tracks.

    Nice Gravitas.

    Cool gear/setup.

Didnt know the XL had encoders.

    Cheers.

  • @sigma79

    Thanks.

The LC XL has 24 knobs and eight faders as well as 16 scenes.

  • @Gravitas nice work brother. Man your hands appear long in this vid... are you part alien ;)

    Quite possibly...😁
Nah, it's because I used an anamorphic lens
on my iPhone and plunked it next to my shizzle. ;)

Could of saved money buying same controller.

and only bought loads of controllers for AUM control.

    But trying Drambo automation.

Id maybe swap an ec4 for a Beringher 32.

Id then have 16 more encoders on same scene.

With ec4. Although you can switch scenes for a synth with loads of parameters.

Just now maybe recording automation and Drambo only maps 16 parameters per synth.

but the beringher could be better.

If you map loads of synths though.

Drambo would be better to have import and save of preset mappings ( like aum )

Then you might have a piece of paper on wall or a book

To say what scene is what.

Unless the beringher had a global name for scenes.

Then per scene names for parameters.

    With the ec4.

I can just match the 16 encoders and look at Drambo.

Maybe name on ec4 if song is complex

but gave most scenes on ec4, the same midi data.

So I can then work on different songs ( instead of importing and have a wall chart )
