Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Which Daw is stable enough for iPad Pro 2017?
By the way, i tried all. The only which works is drambo, NS2 and Audio evolution mobile studio.
But from the workflow i would prefer Cubasis 3 or Zenbeats. But they are so laggy i cant work with them. Any tipps for setting?

Have you tried AUM? I also have an iPad Pro 2017 and it's rock solid. If you are looking for something more like a traditional DAW with audio and MIDI tracks there are better options, but for sketching, improvising, creating ideas it's second to none.
Thx yes for sure. I try allways to build a daw with aum with helium etc. But its Not the same. Your Ipad is stable with cubasis 3?
I don't have Cubasis I'm afraid!
I have this:
https://appledb.dev/device/iPad-Pro-(12.9-inch)-(2nd-generation).html?filter=stable
EDIT: The link get's crippled by the forum...
This is totally stable with any all DAWs I own (lots) and I never ever experienced any lag!
But then, I am at iPadOS 15.7.2 as I did not yet dare to update any of my devices.
Are you at 16.x?
If yes, maybe you are a victim of Apple's obsoletion-program for older devices, where they try to make people think that an M1 CPU is required?
I was considering to update exactly this iPad and am therefor very curios about the version you are using!
Thanks
Oh, yes i am on 16. maybe thats the problem. I am exited, if anyone has Same problems. Hear ya āš»
That doesn't sound right about Cubasis and Zenbeats being "laggy". It shouldn't introduce significantly more latency than any other DAW. Is it possible that it just comes down to settings? Buffer settings are the most likely culprit. Using the lowest buffer that you can while avoiding "crackling" in each app will give you the lowest latency.
I use an iPad Air 2 (!) and I don't find any noticeable difference in latency with either of those apps.
Or by "laggy" dot you mean screen response or something?
Which version of iPadOS?
A Mac with Ableton Live
I use Cubasis 3 on an iPad Pro 2017 and it works fine. iPadOS 15.something
15.7.3 - latest the Air 2 supports.
I doubt OS version is a factor.
I read the second time something about performance loss of older devices with 16.x
It may be a factor.
And Apple got caught earlier with such things too - even if that may not be the case this time.
I will wait.
I haven't noticed any particular degradation in performance from 15 to 16, and I'm also running a 12.9 pro 2nd generation. I'd be interested in seeing properly performed tests that compare performance though.
the most stable DAWs other than than the ones you mentioned are Multitrackstudio, FLSM, Pro 10.5, newest OS
+1 for MultiTrackStudio. Lightweight, stable, powerful.
15.7.3 ? š³
My Air 3 is at 15.7.2 and there is nothing newer available... beside 16.x
Did you mistype, or am I missing something?
I probably did mistype. However, 15.7.3 is installing as I write this. If it doesn't show up on your device soon, perhaps it is because Apple doesn't want to give you that option on a device that's capable of running iOS 16.
GarageBand.
I have the 2017 12.9 and I use BM3 with no problems. Iām on ios 15 something. Latest version of 15.
I bet Cubasis 2 would work out.
It seems that you are right:

The Air 3 is not mentioned.
