Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.Download on the App Store
Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
AUM: Option to send MIDI clock permanently (do not start and stop with transport)
@j_liljedahl I would love to see an option that allows AUM to permanently send MIDI clock at the set tempo.
The MIDI standard implemented clock as a means to synchronise the timers in (mainly hardware) synthesizers. The clock was never meant to be switched on and off with the transport. For this the system realtime start / stop / pause / continue messages are for.
There is a good reason for this behaviour: The timers in the hardware need a (short) time to synchronise clock signal. If the clock is switched on and off, then there is the danger that the synth will run out of sync.
I am aware of the downside of this: The fact that pressing transport start will not start immediately, but at the next clock. That's why it would be great to have this as an option.
