Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Incredibox is $4 off at $.99

I always wonder if this one is just silly good fun or if could actually be used to make original music. Can it import other samples? Anyone has any experience with it?

Edit: never mind, check their site and none of the sounds or arrangements can be used for commercial purposes. I guess it’s fun for hobbyists though. Can be tried free online on their site.

You can play it free on their website, but mine has slight lag, so it’s probably not as smooth as the app, I might gift it to my niece.

Looks like they do collect data. Or am I imagining things / caring too much about these details? Of course, regardless, I’m not about to get it anyone’s way if they want to use the app or whatever. Just curious…

I checked the link to the developer privacy policy on the app store page; it looks like data collection is related to requirements for cloud sync to work. Presumably, if you disable cloud sync there will be no data transmission.

Not uncommon with free apps. They want your data 👹

Not at all. I usually don’t dig super deep but I rarely download apps that show lots of data tracking, especially if it’s data tracking linked to the user.
