Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

    MIDImorphosis 2 Tune+Tone+Tab on sale. It’s 50% off at $4.99

Yup -- finally got my act together, and got this out the door.

Now to do a ton of videos explaining the tuner and stuff. The FFT display shows a huge amount of interesting details on the tone of an incoming sound, and I suspect a lot of guitarists will find it useful, even if they're not into triggering synthesizers with guitars.

    MIDImorphosis 2 Tune+Tone+Tab on sale. It’s 50% off at $4.99

This was rebuilt from the ground up, now with AUv3. Looks cool, anyone tried it since update a few days ago? I’m interested mostly for transcribing guitar, guitar to both midi files and guitar to real time midi as an Au.

Edit - I forgot I’m on the beta, lol. Still any thoughts or opinions welcome.

This one looks interesting. Tihai Pro: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1275944861?ign-mpt=uo=4 down to $0,99 USD. It has an IAP of $1.99 USD at the moment, but I'm not sure if that's a discounted price.

It generates Hindustani music. No export functionality of any kind.

It’s quite strange, but each price in the AppStore is 2 or more euro higher (i.e. Germany) than the given dollar price here. That”s deprimierend.

One obvious point is that euro prices include VAT, which dollar prices do not.

  • Patterning 2 is 25% or $5 off at $14.99

Not the end of the world but the American concept of the price tag ("we'll put a number here that is patently NOT the price that you have to pay") is just silly, isn't it. 🙂

Picked this one up. Unique enough from other pitch detectors to make it definitely worth a purchase. Secret Base Design always has interesting stuff. :)

Only gonna say this app is so worth it. I don’t see it talked about as much anymore but man is it fun.

Much more confusion is, that there are actually 3 different prices displayed, if you want to complete an app bundle and it is then a kind of Russian roulette, which they actually will calculate finally on your invoice. This is pure inability and customer scaring per excellence.

    😉

Yeah but the bundle price calculation is not inherent in the American system - that's squarely on Apple. Credit where credit is due 🙂

  • I didn’t read that thread completely but there are a lot of factors involved in bundle pricing.
They are priced separately than then apps. So if an app goes on sale that doesn’t mean the bundle will be adjusted accordingly.

They only deduct the price you paid for any of the included apps, and only one time. For example I have a Bud Bundle that says $26 but there’s only one app I don’t have. That’s because I used the price I paid for a few bud apps, to complete a previous iteration of the bud bundle. Therefore I already used those apps (and the amount I paid for them) to deduct the difference on an earlier version of the bundle. So I used it, it no longer applies to this current version of the bud bundle.

Sure there are some other complications and things, but I’ve rarely seen a bundle price issue, that I personally can’t account for… usually it’s because I got an app on sale, so only the sale price I paid is deducted, or I already used the price I paid for an app or apps to deduct from a bundle by the same developer.

I have definitely come across and heard of a few exceptions but 9 times out of ten it’s one of the things I mentioned above. Hope this helps. Cheers.
