Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Wah Pedal by Nembrini Audio - Free

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6444608537

Description:

Nembrini Audio Wah is modeled on the Wah pedal created by Thomas Organ* Company and manufactured by JEN in Italy.
This is the unmistakable wah tone heard on Hendrix classics like "Up From the Sky," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," "Little Miss Lover" and "Still Raining, Still Dreaming." The Nembrini Audio Wah reproduces these timbres.

Works as a standalone app, AudioUnit v3 effect, or Inter-App Audio effect

  • And a Merry (insert winter solstice holiday of your choice) to you, too!

  • Thank you Nembrini!

  • It sounds very promising. Now I have to try it on stage monitors and PA system.

  • I guess I can use a midi LFO to simulate an auto-wah?

  • @Montreal_Music that should work well, as filter is an automation param. apeMatrix makes this trivial to configure.

You can also use an envelope follower like FAC Evolver for a touch-wah effect.

It works very well, without that overly loud notch in the E4-G4 region. Works great on an electric piano.
    Cheers

  • Awesome app, throw an lfo on the filter and Wah forever

Could I ask you for explanation of "touch-wah"? I would like to control the intensity of the wah effect according to the strength of the input signal (guitar) with some custom predefined curve. Does the FAC Envolver do this or do I need another tool? I use Loopy Pro as host.

@filo01 - yes, FAC Envolver is able to do this. You would put Envolver before Nembrini WAH in your signal chain where it will listen to the guitar signal and trigger the envelope on the transients. It will then send out a midi CC message that you can map to AUv3 parameters to automate the Filter AUv3 parameter.

To simplify the midi learn process, disable the 2nd envelope output.

Super useful tutorial, thank you @Gavinski. I think the Envolver will be a nice tool for reverb and delay ducking too.
