Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

iPhone Audiobus not working

Hello,

(Setup, iPhone X, Audiobus 3, latest iOS, iRig 2, electric bass, dual audio to lightning iPhone adaptor)

(Apps used simultaneously inside Audiobus 3 on iPhone and iPad : AmpliTube, PolyNome, FLAC lossless music player)

Audiobus 3, latest version stopped working completely on latest iOS of iPhone X.

iPad version of Audiobus works perfectly on latest iOS iPad version.

On iPhone, sound used to be perfect on AmpliTube, and inside AmpliTube via Audiobus. Now the sound is fuzzy, through iRig2, but nothing works in Audiobus on iPhone, zero sound.

I have restarted iPhone, followed instructions on forums, but nothing works.

Advance thanks,
Audiobus fan

  • Do other hosts work with the iRig 2 on the device that is having a problem?

I’ve seen a few reports of the iRig 2 not working correctly on some devices with iOS 16… in any host.

  • Hi, thanks very much for fast reply.

AmpliTube outside iRig 2 does not work properly on latest iOS of iPhone.

However, iPad latest iOS works perfectly both outside Audiobus and inside Audiobus, as well as in AmpliTube, independent of Audiobus.

Are you using iPadOS 16 on the iPad, or iPadOS 15.7.1? Check in Settings–>About if not certain. Both versions are current ("latest"). This would clarify whether the problem is related to iOS 16 specifically.
