    I spend a lot of energy curating my feeds and behavior to try to impact the algorithms to show me the videos I want. It definitely helps to send negative feedback on videos you don’t want to watch.

    When I tell someone I’ve never used Tiktok, it feels similar to telling someone that I’ve never tried cocaine, despite having many opportunities in my youth and close circle. 😂

    Yep! There is probably thousands of similar cases, but here in Montreal, a young man with a lot of potential was a promising candidate in politic....Until a "friend" posted a photo of him. The picture was posted on social media when he was younger (and stupid). I will spare you the details, but the man looked very stupid on it. End of career right away. Live and learn.

    I prefer a man who makes small mistakes and apologize than a man who looks perfect, but that just me I guess.

    For me it feels more like telling people I’ve never deliberately poked myself in the eye with a sharp stick.

    Scroll till the bottom of a page and you’ll find it in the middle. If you are not a TikTok youngster, your attention span will allow you to do it without stopping your scrolling half the way to the bottom

    For me, TikTok and YouTube are very different, because the algorithms that work in TikTok do not work for YouTube, and vice versa. In TikTok, I post entertaining content with which I attract a large number of audiences. Whereas my YouTube channel has a lot of informational content through which I sell my infoproduct. Without a TikTok account and additional services such as "buy TikTok subscribers cheap". I wouldn't be able to promote my YouTube channel. But, the algorithms of TikTok and YouTube video shorts are very similar, at least for me.

    TikTok has great content and can be quite addictive.
    That should not be overlooked.

    I stopped watching because it was so addictive - I most too much sleep in the night.

    But yes, those very short videos just don't belong to YouTube 😅

    The concept of Youtube is from 2005 and this is pre smartphone era, since then nothing basically changed in the idea: Youtube is a dinosaur
    The way we live in now makes the Tiktok entertaining just perfect

    C'mon... Tik tok is for short form content which is not always the most appropriate form. Now YouTube has shorts. It has evolved. A bit too slowly, yes, and the whole YouTube Studio experience really feels like it needs a proper mobile version. But still....
