Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

I see a market for IAP content..specifically performance patterns from musicians here..

    Such a great app..

Shhhhhhh. So far the Scaler team likes giving away content free 🤫!lol

Did you know you can import/export states?

    Check it out!:

Lots of stuff to discover, yet.. Nice

There are already paid chord sets, I imagine performance patterns are on the way.

Looking forward to the bass-lines.. Hopefully someone does some Brass-lines for GeoSwan..

Do you have a link for those sets?

I just picked it up on Desktop. Why did I wait so long to get this? :) Can't wait for it on iPad.

Had the demo (fully functional) in its early days.. Didn’t know it would developed into this beauty..

Stuff like this on iOS makes you wonder if you really do need a desktop for making music anymore..

Like Cap’N Willie said, Scaler likes it’s community content. These paid chord sets are third party. The most popular one I know of is the Prism Chord Suite by Render Audio (aka Gravez)

    Thanks..

  • my favorite inspo app hands down. stoked for the ios crossover

  • So the beta is running smoothly
    Had no crashes
Was running 7 scaler’s and synths and drums mainly atom 2 sending midi in to scaler, auto detect etc working great
Never used this on PC , but after watching a few YouTube videos, got right into this
Runs really well in AUM, need to test more in loopy pro
Not bringing up this subject to annoy people, was hoping to of read more about scaler on this forum, seeing as this is where I got the link from
Can’t really see anything missing from the desktop version on iOS
Seems like a great port to me
Will be really interesting to see what real musicians will achieve with this.
But my tracks have improved in leaps and bounds

Glad you’re loving it so far.

Re: to your comment regarding finding out more information about scaler here, stay tuned. Sure to be extensive coverage once it drops.

As you’ve noticed, most of the discussions around here focus on iOS/IPad apps as this is a forum created for the iOS Community to discuss how to connect apps on the platform like the app of its namesake is purposed for.

As you’ve probably realized now, Scaler 2 isn’t available on iPad yet so this thread was about discussing the game changing news of its imminent arrival.

Now that it’s soon to be launched on App Store, bet your 🍑 it’ll be discussed extensively here and TONS of new YouTube videos by influencers and musicians are sure to follow.

I‘ve been accepted to the Scaler iOS beta testing forum this weekend, but haven‘t found any link to TestFlight yet. Did I miss something or does it take more time between being unlocked for their forum and receiving a TestFlight invitation?

  • @Thames1990 I also got approved over the weekend , but I am still waiting for my TestFlight invite. However, I did reach out to a forum moderator today for an update..

Yes it takes a few days. The first team was told that a new team of testers would be invited this week. Keep an eye for an email from Testflight. Its a do not reply address from Apple. There will be an invite link inside and you'll be all set assuming you have Testflight installed on your device.

  • From 2 min into the video..

    Playback Performances…

    Fantastic..

Same here. I signed up over there and was “accepted” into the beta group on their forum, but no email regarding the testflight info.

Will this performance feature be in the ios version? If so instabuy it is no matter the price. Except if it is subscription. I will never go down the subscription road. This app is like having a professional pianist by your side.

Speaking of price, do we have a rough idea of cost for the iPad version? All the Scaler talk in this thread has gotten to me but I think I may have better use for the desktop version. Spent way too much money on music software this last year!

@fattigman In the current beta It's a full desktop version for ipad OS so you get everything the desktop gives you with a few extra ipad tweaks. The price is very tempting cheaper than the desktop and not subscription. If the current beta and price stay what they show it should be a must have app on ipad OS for musicians.

Any chance of sharing the currently shown price or have you signed your family away on an NDA? :)

  • @Jumpercollins thanks for info. can't wait for it to be released.

Ahh. I would beta test but I honestly don't have time to do it properly so I will wait for it to become available. Thanks.

  • Yea don’t worry if you are waiting, it will come. Mine took like a week, maybe 3 weeks ago. I think it depends on a few factors but if you’ve been accepted into the scaler forum it will come.

Nice! Thanks so much for that @Stuntman_mike , if that's the case then I think I'll be getting both :)

This is not a Scaler 2 beta thread or a place to discuss anything about the beta you weren’t specifically asked to share by their team. That was kindly stated twice in the official beta thread. Please direct all questions here:

    https://forum.scalerplugin.com/u/gokeez/preferences/interface

Again, please don’t share any more specific information about the Scaler 2 beta that you weren’t specifically asked to share in this thread that I started. It’s not something I want associated with me at all.

Finally all things are subject to change including price which is why they asked testers not to share information they haven’t discussed 🤫

  • Yes, please keep the all 'features' under wraps as I want to be surprised :sunglasses:
(Part of the surprise element goes sway if everything leaks in advance).
