Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Another member, in another thread, mentioned that there might be some kind of restrictions prohibiting full offline use. Can anyone confirm or deny?

    Thanks :)

There's a bug that causes the app to revert to free/limited mode when offline that the devs are aware of and will apparently address in an upcoming update.

    Hi,
This is probably obvious but I can’t seem to figure it out… How do you turn off input note monitoring on Scaler?.
I have some chords in one track (recorded them from an instance of scaler but that’s not relevant) and I put an instance of scaler on another where I want to explore alternate chords based on the input.
I’m guessing you have to use “detect” to listen to the input chords for alternate options and scales… but the input notes are always played. I don’t want to hear the input notes but my alternates (B or C in scaler).
I hope it’s clear…. Basically I want to turn off monitoring, I don’t want to hear the input notes. Should be basic but I can’t find it.
    Thanks!

Humm. I can't find any setting in Scaler 2 for that. Maybe someone like @CapnWillie can answer that one. If it's not possible then maybe you can do something with channel filter modules?

PD: @wim what app do you use for screenshot doodling?. I like those arrows and text 👍

That's just the built-in iOS screenshot thingy. If you hit the + button at the bottom where the highlight tools are, it gives the options for arrows, callouts, text, etc.

I usually airdrop the screenshots to my Mac and edit them in the preview app there because I can also scale them down to 50% size to reduce storage size on the forum. The tools are basically the same on the Mac as on the iOS screen shot app except for that though.

I could probably disconnect the midi input in scaler after having captured the chords but it seems like a bad workaround for a basic feature.

  • Hey guys, can someone who had problems with missing IAP without WiFi confirm that 1.1 update fixed it ?

Yes, it fixed it for me.

  • does anyone know if theres anytalk of clock sync in standalone? having to use it in a daw is adding an irritating deep layer of abstraction and menu diving

FYI guys. Regular full unclock price is 22.99€ (in Eurozone). It just went up from 17.99€ black Friday sale. Waiting for Xmas now

More gamechangier magicisms!!! 🪄 Thanks for the heads up.

  • I can‘t get the different Scaler Plugins (Scaler 2, ScalerAudio 2, ScalerControl 2) to sync to each other. Scaler 2 can sync to another Scaler 2 instance, but the ScalerAudio 2 on my input channel can’t see the Scaler 2 instances. Don‘t know if this is a bug.
Maybe theres another way to achieve what I want to do, or I‘m just dumb. Basically I want to analyse the chords from the input channel and send them to other Scaler instances to play different instruments. I use Loopy Pro as a host. Anyone got any ideas?

  • i have spent so much time fucking around trying to get this to work. does anyone know can you or can you not sync this thing in standalone? I simply want to slave it to my octatrack and send midi out to a synth and its a nightmare.

Pretty sure you need to host as an AU it to sync.
