Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Could an AUv3 stream from IAA app (audiobus)?

I know there is nothing like that yet, but I wonder if that would be technically possible. I know some AUv3 can stream from internet (youtube, radio).
This would be a good workaround to integrate the zillion of good IAA apps with Drambo.

  • There is an app and AUv3 called SonoBus that is a network audio collaboration tool. It can be used to send from one AUv3 capable app to another but since it is using network protocols there is latency involved. You can find some more about it in the forum archives and in the AB Forum wiki.

The OS doesn’t allow AU’s on iOS to speak to other apps.
