Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

I recall wanting this dev's beat generator on android...
You can try it online
https://dopeloop.ai/melody-generator
Can it send midi so that you can play another app, or can you only export the midi information into a DAW?
@Poppadocrock
Thanks
I like ai generators when you hit brain block
But at that price I think I need to see , hear what it can make
It’s quite expensive, and the images don’t make me wanna jump in
@senhorlampada
Just tried the web version
Instruments are nasty
But can do midi download
So thinking do I really need the app…
This is probably the best music generator on iOS:
Beatly Pro
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/beatly-pro/id1550189157
Free version
Beatly
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/beatly-music-generator/id1540408047
Only downside (for me at least) is the ios14 requirement
Songen is another good one. It is subscription 8.99 to try but has many cool features. Not as versatile with the instrument sounds as Beatly, and the interface is slightly wonky, but it puts out more standard fare if that’s what you need
Yep Beatly is a great 1 👍
Piano motifs is pretty amazing but no drums.
SonGen is phenomenal.
I did not know that. Thanks
Since the same app is online what advantages does the app being to the table?
I don’t have the app but based off description it only mentions midi export or wav export. So I’m guessing not… but not certain.
@Toastedghost
I don’t see any reason to own the app
I found a few ok melodies on the web version
Downloaded the midi
Stuck it in atom2
Happy days
"You want an algorithmically generated melody? I got you!"
lol
I feel sort of bad for pointing out the web version
But at the same time, I know most of us wouldn't pay that amount considering we have loads other options around
Na man I’m glad u did. If it’s out there it’s out there. A decent amount of apps have a website that functions like the app. Even FB or Meta, lol. I’m happy to bookmark another resource. That said I do think the price of the app is quite high.
Glad to help then!
Cheers!
