Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
4Pockets Strummer question
Is it possible to export the MIDI so I can use it in a Desktop DAW?
Thanks

No dont think you can export midi clips from the UI. You could easily record into another app like LK, Helium or ATOM and export a midi clip from there though
Good thinking, thank you!
OK, I tried this and failed spectacularly!

Normally, Melodyne is pretty good at extracting MIDI from audio! Any ideas why this abomination is happening?!
You don't need to record the audio, just point the midi out from Strummer to your favourite midi recorder. I can't check right now but I don't see why it shouldn't work.
I don't think I am able to get midi out of iPad and into a Windows DAW
There are apps to do it but might be other solutions.
I know these apps but never used them.

@BillS the original suggestion was to record the midi into something like Atom2, export to a midi file, then import the midi file into your DAW. There are lots of ways to get a file from your iOS device over to a Windows PC.
There are also ways to get midi input to your PC as mentioned above. StudioMux isn't a bad option for MIDI.
Can’t you just email it to yourself.
Thanks all - I’ve set up Strummer inside Cubasis, then exported the MIDI from there. Seems to work! I’ll continue to explore.
