Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Dragging notes from Helium into Atom

Each of these piano rolls has it's strengths. I really like Helium's (game-changing, for me) approach to song mode, its horizontal and vertical zoom, and its easy velocity editing. Atom greatly simplifies clipboard operations and has very useful advanced time-signature and tuplets options (haven't fully explored these yet).

So experimentally I've had them together in a project, which I wouldn't normally do. I discovered that I could more or less drag the midi notes from the Helium piano roll into the Atom piano roll. I just had to save them as a "midi song" first, and then drag the icon for that song into the Atom window. Apologies if this is old news, I was impressed for some reason.

Problem with using them together is the the lack of ghost tracks.
